Unfortunately, this coffee experience put a dampener on my morning. The garden was relatively empty when I arrived and ordered my iced long black with my partners cappuccino. More people started rolling in but I wouldnât say it was ever busy. My partner received their cappuccino after 10 minutes and I received my âicedâ long black after 30 minutes by the time my partner had finished their coffee⊠or at least declared it finished because it was bad. I checked in on my coffee twice because we were sitting to the side and I was worried I couldnât hear the order being called as I was watching people who arrived after me receive their drinks.
The first time I politely checked in to see if it had been called, the guy at the counter responded bluntly that if it was ready, it would have been called. Kinda confused by that response I shrugged it off and when I went back to check on it 15ish mins later I was feeling impatient having seen iced lattes served to people who arrived after me. I mentioned it had been over 20 minutes at this point and I got an eye roll and an âOh Godâ from another guy working there. When it was ready after 30 minutes of waiting, I had the warmest iced long black with no ice.

I initially parked in front of the cafĂ©, though I admit it wasnât an appropriate spot. While they accepted to stay but I moved the car. Positive: The coffee taste was acceptable, and we appreciated that.
Negative Experiences: One staff memberâs behavior was off-putting. He was staring at us the entire time with wide eyes, an exaggerated shocked expression, and a rounded mouth. At first, we thought it was because of how we had parked, but even after moving the car, he was still staring at us, which made us very uncomfortable.
When we requested two marshmallows for our kids, he reacted with an even more shocked expression and started asking why we wanted them. Despite our request, they didnât give us the marshmallows, which felt unnecessary and unwelcoming.
