Hope Street Cafe — Restaurant in Brisbane City

Felt like having a coffee and a bite at 2pm so headed to this place which was one of the few cafes published as still being open in my area for another hour. Arrived to face staff who were mostly disinterested in me but begrudgingly took my order. I should have taken the hint and moved on, but instead I got to enjoy my cup to the ambience of furniture being cleared all around me until the chair and table I sat were the only pieces of furniture remaining, which looked ridiculous. At this point, it was still a couple of minutes before 2:30pm. Could not have felt more out of place and unwelcome so I sculled the rest of my coffee and left. The frittata was bland. Hope is a great little cafe, very conveniently located and not quite in the noisy, busy part of Boundary. It offers facilities and service for an extremely diverse clientele and staff. There may not be as much choice of food as you are used to elsewhere but you can be sure of fresh food, locally sourced ingredients, nice surroundings and that you, too, are serving up Hope by being there.
