I recently attended a corporate event at The Sound Garden with Brisbane PA Network, and although I didn’t sample much of the food or drinks (designated driver duties), I was thoroughly impressed with the venue itself!

The Sound Garden boasts a capacity of 350 people spread across two vibrant levels. I was excited to experience what I had heard was a funky, dynamic venue perfect for chilled corporate gatherings—and it did not disappoint!

The lower level features an inviting outdoor garden and a spacious indoor area that was gearing up for a live band performance, offering a relaxed yet vibrant atmosphere. Ascending the internal staircase, you’re greeted by an impressive seven-metre tree, which serves as the stunning centrepiece. The top level provided a versatile space that’s perfect for both intimate events and larger corporate gatherings.

With its grand staircase, skylight ceiling, multiple bars, and alfresco options, The Sound Garden blends a lush garden vibe with a cool music scene. It’s a unique space that effortlessly combines style and function, making it an ideal spot for teams to unwind and celebrate their successes. Highly recommend for corporate events or just a...

Great music and atmosphere, had a lovely 3 pints of Byron Bay Beer. Met some lovely Fairies (on a Hens night) from North Brisbane all having a good time. Awesome. Has it changed?? Well it seems so, after moving to the Valley some 5 Months ago, the Sound Garden had been my go to bar on a Saturday night for 3 pints of Byron Bay Beer, mostly visit for the promoted Happy Hour which is advertised at 6.00 to 8pm anyhow on my visit today at 6.15pm I was charged the full price of $12.00 a pint, after asking the barmaid why isnt it on happy hour pricing? she said she only started work yesterday and so asked her work colleague about the price and if it was indeed included in the happy hour pricing, her colleague said it is no longer included in the happy hour, I asked which beers were included and drew a blank look. Anyhow I am quite dissapointed and will find a new watering hole. The advertised promo is still displayed on the first floor advertising board.. pictures attached. Point to note my photos have over 3.4...

A bartender named David served me. I asked if I could have an amaretto sour and he scowled at me saying “if you ask me with more respect I'll make it for you". I asked him a few times to repeat what he said because I thought I misheard him but he really said that. I was shocked. I had no idea what he was on about, I wasn’t intending to be rude at all. I was just trying to order a couple of drinks. Instead of trying to resolve an issue with me he frustratingly walked off, ignored me and made the 2 cocktails. This is what I got for almost $50. I don’t know if this is because he had an issue with me but the bar didn’t seem that busy with customers which is why I thought it was an okay time to order a cocktail. This rush job is unacceptable. No maraschino cherry, no citrus garnish, inconsistent sizing… If you’re going to under deliver on a cocktail, then you shouldn’t expect a customer to pay full price for it. I consulted a second bartender named Ava and she justified this standard of cocktail making...
