Food is pretty good, however...
I was just getting some sushi (obviously) but when i ordered a drink one of the employees asked 'Bottle or a can?' i didn't hear her the first time so i asked what she said, in response she rolled her eyes at me. like hello? additionally, She was pretty impatient and snappy with the way she talked to me. Wouldn't recommend going there if you have anxiety because, other then the employee, it was crowded and i was being shoved in a corner while being rudely served. overall it ruined my experience and therefore the sushi. it left a bitter taste of anger or resentment.
Additionally, before i even ordered, i was looking at my phone (i was ordering for a friend) when she said 'next please' i thought there was some people in line so i thought nothing of i. so i continued to prepare my (friends)order, however, this girl yelled at me and looking me dead in the eyes. My anxiety rushing, i walked up to food display, and panic ordered what i wanted, i ended up not exactly getting what i wanted. Looking at the rest of the reviews, i think this employee has been rude to customers, time and time again...

Read moreI went in today and last week. Got about $20 worth of sushi, both times, the sushi was fine… nothing special. However, I’m not one to right reviews about places, especially negative ones, but both times I received shockingly terrible service. Once at the checkout with my sushi I politely asked for a cup of tap water as a lot of places provide, such as Maccas, where you don’t even need to buy anything and they’ll give you one. However, both times I asked the server was very rude and arrogant, arguing that the cups are only for miso soup and that you have to buy a bottle, even though I’ve gotten cups of tap water at different sushi hubs across the city. Once she refused to provide tap water, she also visibly and loudly sighed when I asked for a receipt, as if it’s not her job and that she had to go out of her way to print one for me. I won’t be back, I’ll find a different...
Read moreSushi hub is my favourite mainstream sushi chain and my go-to in the CBD! Sushi here is always fresh-tasting and the rice is done right. I love the inari, especially the octopus and crab options.
I noticed a new vegetarian/plant-based option on the menu today and had to post a review - the plant based tuna roll is only $2 (for now) and tastes good, it doesn’t taste that close to tuna (lacks the fishy flavour) but it hits the spot anyway - and if you have sushi with soy sauce you won’t notice it’s not a regular tuna roll.
I like the Albert St shop because it has a cute interior with soy sauce dispensers and tissues, all very convenient.
Only problem with this place is the massive lines during lunchtime but there’s a line for a...
