Bit of a Let Down.

I was excited to come try this place as I love a good brewery, even better one with a good pizza oven. But unfortunately I was left a bit disappointed. Up first was arriving and find staff clearing a table we wanted to sit at. No problem at all, but the staff didn’t come back to wipe the table down, so even though we didn’t sit at a table full of dishes, we instead got to sit at a table full of crumbs and pizza that had been stomped into the ground. That’s fine though I thought, it’s a Friday, I’m trying not to be pedantic.

Went to grab a beer and I felt like the staff pouring my beer was acting like I’d harmed a member of his family. Again I know it’s busy, but a little light chit chat or even maybe a smile would’ve been nice. Oh well.

I let my partner order and didn’t realise that the calamari was $19, again totally fine I guess in this day and age but if it’s going to be priced elevated from the fish and chip shop, then maybe I thought the taste would be elevated too. Batter barely was able to cling to the 6 or so pieces we got, and the internal flavour was a bit lackluster. Kind of tasted like nothing.

We then got served our pizza and well that helped. It definitely added a star to the review but also at the same time, they really overdid it on the rosemary. I won’t fault them for that as different staff can cause different flavours. A good baseline taste was there so thank god.

The problem was that we asked the staff member who served us for some share plates. He blithely agreed, disappeared, and then just stood at the counter. It’s fair that he may have forgotten and again I get it, busy Fridays, but also it’s not that shocking that Fridays may be busy. Maybe we can get the staff who can handle it to work the more busier shifts. Pizza was also incredibly oily. Weird for a pizza cooked in a pizza oven.

The wait staff who cleared our plates at the end could barely muster a word. I’m not one to expect anything, but to be given nothing was a bit shocking. He looked like he’d just processed some internal trauma.

Overall I’d still recommend this place for the ambience and as a brewery I’m sure there’s a good host of beer flavours for everyone. But I’d say it’s more of a place to get the piss up with your other white collar worker mates than to go and have a nice little valley experience. Not sure why I thought it would be like that...

An incredibly gorgeous and stunning venue and the service was OUTSTANDING, but the food and drinks menu is REALLY lacking! Came last night with a group of friends and, not gonna lie, we all loved what we ordered… but just wished there were more options of both food and drinks to choose from. With myself being coeliac I found there weren’t many GF options to choose from whatsoever, and when I asked the lovely waitress that came over to our table which GF items she recommended, she did also mention that not much of the food items on offer are safe for coeliacs either which is pretty disappointing. I was also disappointed paying over $22 for a knock off “Aperol Spritz”. If you’re gonna have a spritz on the menu at least have the Aperol Spritz, not the cheap Sofi stuff… a bartender said Sofi and Aperol tasted exactly the same but it really wasn’t all that nice, especially for how much it was… also not to mention there were hardly any options for drinks in general… I felt as though I was having to order drinks I either didn’t like/or wasn’t familiar with, so in that sense I was a bit turned off. Other than that, please upgrade the menu to further cater for GF/Coeliacs… and to the amazing staff, thank you for your service, you were ALL incredibly lovely!!! and the DJ last night was AMAZING also!!!! Could not fault you guys whatsoever! Keep up your great...

We booked the bar for my Daughters 21st Birthday I must give a big shout out to the manager on the night for his consistent service and communication regarding our requirements I can not fault him or the person regarding all email contact . The pizzas were amazing and the drinks were reasonably priced but my issue was with the space they reserved for us as it was very disjointed and the group we had were separated into 4 separate small but Adjacent areas This made it very hard to come togeather as a group and we would have preferred to be given a larger space where we could sit togeather I was also not impressed with any of the cocktails we bought and was very disappointed that there was no Mocktail menu especially as we had a few non drinkers / designated drivers .I felt it didn’t cater...

We've been coming here regularly for a year or so, and I only just realised I haven't done a review. This is a very cruisy rooftop micro brewery, perfect at sunset with a good range of craft beers. My favourites are the tropical and the 21 pubs, and you can get a tasting panel too. I love the puff pizza bread here, it is superb. It comes with an excellent smoked onion dip. The Valley Hops burger is pretty good too, as are some of the pizzas. There is a reasonable wine and spirit selection too. The staff are friendly. The serves are pretty good. There is a big tv screen and a DJ some evenings. They also have a fire pit in the winters, which I really like too. As far as these places go, this is right up there. Weekends have the best atmosphere, and it can get busy at times.
