I’ve read through comments that were left by several customers. I am now not wondering about RUDE customer service. Especially, the male staff is who wearing black glasses is extremely RUDE. He is working in the kitchen; however, he claims that he is a store manager.
I ordered wontons from this store so many times, but never got into this situation. Unfortunately, the food I ordered tonight seemed to be off. Once I arrived home, and started eating, the taste of wonton fillings were super weird. They were very sour. I actually thought it was my tougue. I then tasted 2 of them, and they were sour. I asked my partner to taste a half and she told me it was sour.
I decided to call the restaurant to ask if there is anything wrong or if they know those were left outside of the fridge or anything happened. I wish to know as I ate some of deep fried wontons already.
I sweared that I talked to that guy extremely respectful, but he talked to me extremely RUDE!!!! When I finished my explanation, he started raising his voice and told me to get the food back to recook. From his voice, I knew that he was trying to ignore what I was trying to explain. He NEVER said apology at all, except raising voice to me then hang up the call even though we have not finished the conversation. I called them back again then that male picked up the call, and asked me ‘what do you want me to do?’ ‘You have to bring it back’. These were what he kept saying to me.
The only thing I wish was asking him to try wonton at the restaurant and he would know how weird they were, then I could throw this and got refund next time as I was very tired to go out again. However, he kept saying ‘you have to bring it back’ now. Then I asked him will there be any chance to get refund next time if you tried to taste and they are weird. He kept raising voice and resist everything I said.
I asked if I could talk to manager, and he said he is a MANAGER!! I was so shocked and I asked if the customer service here is treating the customer who did not do anything wrong like this? And his answer made me more upset as he said YES this is the customer service at WOKAWOKA!!!

Read moreGiven this is a franchise restaurant across QLD, I have high expectations of the dishes. In particular the way the dishes are prepared and cooked (i.e. south side) which suit perfectly to my liking. I anticipate the day to come when given the opportunity to taste the dishes and through each piece that I take, this will take me back to my hometown.
However, the anticipation was far from expectations. The dishes were average and contained less features. The taste was not quite up there to be considered HK cuisine. The way one of the staff (or maybe the team leader) serving on that day was kind of in a rush. She appeared to response to the queries in a fast and short replied in a discrete manner. Sometimes, she did raise her voice when being questioned. Yes, I know. The restaurant maybe under staff during the peak hour. Calm down. As long as the team continue to provide a great service within a reasonable time, and not unduly impact on the quality of the food. We do not mind at all.
Overall, I awarded you one star for trying. It is ashamed that the restaurant in such a great location, should have produce great HK cuisine. As for those non-Chinese customers, this restaurant does not represent the real HK cuisine. If you are interested, pay a visit to Sunnybank, Pineland or Sunnybank Hills areas, you would come across the dishes way better than you have anticipated with a lower price.

I mean, if it’s normal would you eat it yourselves? Then I told the supervisor about it (who came in to have lunch with another guy), he took it back to the kitchen, came back 5 minutes later with another 2 pieces of chicken, he offered to exchange the pieces that had feathers on it, and said that the chicken came with feathers and if I don’t want them I can order bbq pork or something else. Great, so it’s my fault that I ordered the wrong dish? At that point I didn’t want to have the food any more so I asked for a refund/discount, he said he had to ask the chef about it. Another 5 minutes later he came back with the same 2 pieces of chicken, told me that they don’t do discounts/refunds of their food, I can take away these chicken if I didn’t want to eat them right away. I said I didn’t want to eat the food anymore, he said nothing, put the plate on his table then left. I’m a regular customer and work in the hospitality industry, THAT WAS NOT HOW YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO DO YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Some of the female waitresses are also very rude.
