Chabbi'z Tandoori Kitchen — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

Extremely unhelpful staff, kept me waiting over half an hour on the quoted pick up time (I paid so I couldn't just leave). When I asked about the pick up time again they claimed that the chicken is taking longer than expected and they don't know when it will be done? How? They are the ones cooking/preparing the dish how can they have no idea how long it will be?

Staff had no cares making me wait an extra half an hour, and then couldn't even bring it to me or let me know when my food was ready. It was only when I went up to ask for a refund that they told me my food was ready???? I was sitting inside the resturant why did they not call me over/ bring me the bags? Completely unacceptable and they didn't even say sorry. Do not waste your time here.

Regarding owners response: hey I am not sure if you are hearing from the staff that they told me I would be waiting longer due to being busier but I was not. They initially told me 10-15 extra (no explanation, just told) and it was over half an hour. No mention of the business of the kitchen at all. If I was offered some form of excuse or explanation I would not have been so upset but the staff were condescending and uncaring. If you have issues with the app that is understandable however once I came in at my pick-up time I dealt with the resturant and should have been given an explination; instead of sitting inside the resturant alone for 30+ minutes past when I was initially told my food would be ready, and becoming more upset and annoyed. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Chabbiz Tandoori Kitchen, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience from start to finish!

From the moment I walked in, the warm and inviting ambiance set the tone for a memorable meal. The restaurant's decor was both charming and tasteful, creating a cozy atmosphere that was perfect for a relaxed evening.

Now, let's talk about the food. Wow! Each dish was a masterpiece. The flavors were exquisite, and you could truly taste the freshness of the ingredients. I particularly loved the variety of tandoori dishes; they were cooked to perfection, juicy, and bursting with authentic flavors. What a wonderful experience we had today. The food was absolutely delicious. At first we were not sure what we gonna get but honestly if you don’t try you won’t know. After walking in we were got a very warm welcome from Sagar who kept checking on us if we were happy with the food and if we wanted anything else. As we had kids along us he make sure if the food was not too spicy. We were given free papad and as a joke I said oh we can have more of them for sure he did not hesitate to offer us another plate of padam while kids were super hungry. If you are visiting Gold Coast I highly recommend this place as you would really enjoy the food it’s super tasty. The staff members were very friendly all of them were serving with a smile. The ambiance was nice the music was good we really enjoyed the whole experience. I don’t usually write reviews but honestly it will be unfair if don’t for this restaurant bcoz the staff went over and beyond our expectations.
