My husband and I had the worst experience at this restaurant on the Gold Coast last night. We had been to this restaurant once before and thoroughly enjoyed it, unfortunately on this occasion when we went to order we were told that we could not order anything but chicken dishes as everything had run out even though it was a Friday night 7 pm. The meal that we ordered took a long time to arrive at our table. We were also recommended by the waitress another chicken dish to add to our order due to there being no lamb or beef. We ordered another chicken dish however when all the meals arrived This dish did not come out and she had to go back to the kitchen and ask for it. She advised that we could order beef or lamb when we commented you said it wasnât available she said it is now. We expressed that we were not happy that we couldâve ordered lamb and beef and felt it was a way of the restaurant getting rid of maybe the overstock of chicken for the night, and we expressed this. everybody that arrived after us seemed to be served before us. After expressing our dissatisfaction another waitress came up and asked if everything was alright. After politely explaining what had happened? She advised she was going to talk to the manager about it and was very sorry. However the manager did not come out and when I went to pay he came out and stood intimidatingly with his arms crossed, behind the cashier steering âdead panâ at me as I paid the bill without saying a word. The behaviour was disgraceful. Even our entree plates were not taken away and we had to ask for them to be so I would not recommend this restaurant to anybody and we will definitely not...
Read moreI've been watching for this new restaurant to open it's doors for a few months and saw that tonight it was open. I got to meet with the owner and he was very helpful in explaining some of the dishes according to my preference for chicken. I went for the Banjara Chicken in a onion and tomato sauce (Medium heat). And I can tell you that it was exquisite! If you're going to cut chunky boneless chicken into your creation then you have to make sure you don't overcook it and dry it out. And that's what they do. Cooked to perfection, exactly how I would loved it to be. The spice they use was perfect. Clearly they're making this for real. But what I loved the most was the accents in their spice that I wasn't expecting. Secret ingredient not mentioned on the menu was Coriander (Cilantro). Just enough accent to finish the flavor perfectly. Now they tell me that their grand opening is next Friday, 26th July 2024. Surely this a great time for a table of four and you can trust that you won't be bringing your party to somewhere to be disappointed. So glad I eyed this place and made notes to visit once it officially opened for business. These guys deserve all the...
Read moreThe Indian Host truly lives up to its name as the ultimate destination for authentic Indian cuisine. Our group of eight visited for dinner, and it was an unforgettable experience.
The appetizers set the tone for the evening â the grilled prawns were a hit with the kids, chicken tikka was bursting with flavor, and the Amritsari fish paired perfectly with sweet potato chips. The dahi puri was a delightful explosion of textures, while the soya chaap and burrata chaat offered amazing vegetarian options.
For mains, we indulged in butter chicken, lamb korma, and dal makhni, all of which were perfectly prepared and full of rich, authentic flavors. Every dish was beautifully presented, reflecting the restaurant's attention to detail.
The ambience was inviting, and it seems the place is newly opened, which adds a fresh and vibrant vibe. The staff were incredibly friendly, ensuring we felt welcomed and well taken care of throughout the meal.
Overall, The Indian Host impressed us with its stellar food, presentation, and hospitality. Itâs a great spot for families or groups looking to enjoy a flavorful journey through Indian cuisine. Highly...
