Terrible. Went with kids and was sat outside, only a few heaters. If it’s a cold night don’t bother as there’s no protection like patio blinds from the elements so we we’re freezing. The restaurant next door however had adequate heaters for all their tables outside. The blonde short hair lady wasn’t interested at all when we asked if one of our heaters was broken and can’t be turned on. Said she didn’t know and then asked our order with no care or concern. Yet there were two tables inside that they were letting walk ins sit at. Little to no service the rest of the night. The food was very average. One of the kids changed his mind about the kids meal so she charged full price for the drink he already had but didn’t bother to bring him a full size drink, so we paid $$ for a kids cup. Don’t bother with the kids meals. Our kids got some corn chips with clumps of hard cheese. We then had to ask for their dessert when it came it had no dipping sauce so I asked for some considering she gave us only half a drink but was told she’d charge us for it. Disgusting. Tacos come in pairs so you can’t choose a few for variety. The fajitas came in this weird tomato sauce which is not at all how you’d want fajitas to come. After dinner without even been told they were closing we are handed a bill. A minute later she came to us with the eftpos machine and I had to ask if they were closing, it was just after 8. Zero care factor. The poor people who had ordered drinks inside were kicked outside. Why sell drinks without telling people you’re closing? Overall a terrible experience in both service, atmosphere and food. There are several other better options for Mexican in surfers paradise and you’ll be better off choosing one of...
Read moreMy experience was average however the staff were fantastic given how chaotic and busy it was. Service was slow and our drinks came out after our food but it was a very busy night so it’s understandable.
The tacos were fantastic, I had prawn and chorizo however I couldn’t taste or see the prawn still yummy none the less even if it felt like I was missing a key ingredient.
The real let down in my opinion were the nachos. The chips were chilli and lime which is nice however they tasted like store bought boring chips with a weirdly sweet seasoning on them. There wasn’t much cheese, or chips or any other topping for that matter. For a Mexican restaurant there’s an expectation that nachos would be above average however I had nachos at another establishment in the area which were far better and less expensive.
Overall I’d say my experience was average but again the staff were lovely so...

new review.
New branding and interiors. Food has changed a bit. The fries are just served as plain fries. No Chipotle aioli and paprika on top for $12.5! Very salty.
The sweet potato quesadillas was super pricey for what you get. A very simple dish that cost $24. 😪 don't think it's worth the price.
The pulled pork tacos good. 3 out of 5. But not the best we have had.
Update: Second visit here and still love the food!
Enjoyed a nice, casual and delicious lunch here Saturday (Easter long weekend). We had our pup with us after a morning play at The Spit and we were warmly greeted by staff with a seat outside and some water for our dog. The restaurant had a pleasant beach vibe as you would expect in a touristy area. The food was great as well and we thoroughly enjoyed our dishes. Only suggestion here would to give more guac with the large amount...
