A quirky little place. It's not facing the water and is tucked behind another store. It seems to be mostly a cafe with a small amount of trinkets, zinc, paintings and clothing. The clothing and trinkets are quite expensive, which I assume means it's made locally and they are trying to make some money on their product. The small seating area on the deck looks nice and shady, but you are surrounded by buildings and you miss the ocean breeze.
There were a few young girls working there and they were all chatty and friendly with customers and each other. I ordered takeaway and the order took a long time to come out. There were two tables outside having breakfast and it didn't seem too busy. If I knew there was such a long wait, I would have used my time better and maybe shopped nearby instead of standing in the uncomfotably small store after I had looked at almost everything in there. While I was waiting I noticed a lot of regulars coming to get their coffees, which shows good personality and service from the employees.
When my sandwich came out it was on soft bread, I double-checked with the kitchen to see if it was gluten free and was told yes with little confidence.
Still not sure if it was actually gluten-free, as I had a reaction a few hours later. However, it is on their menu that they serve gluten-free bread so I will still give the shout out that they...
ย ย ย Read moreI LOVE Love Street. A local through and through, Love Street is my only go to. If you want a place with AMAZING food, coffee and a view - Love Street is the place to be. I so appreciate the gluten free and vegan options and the acai bowls in the colours of the rainbow ๐ Love Street recently hosted my birthday and they did such an amazing job! I felt so looked after, with a gourmet platter created with so much care and attention to detail. Communication leading up to the event was great, so I had complete peace of mind that everything was going to be looked after. Already trying to find another excuse to celebrate so I can organise another one of these events hehe ๐ฅฐ Thank you to the amazing girls at...
ย ย ย Read moreI came here for coffee and breakfast for the first time last week, it was so good, I came back again the next day. The coffee was great, despite being really busy, it was served quickly and made with care. I ordered a vegan toastie, which was delicious! I also had the banana bread with blueberries and coconut yogurt, which was some the nicest banana bread Iโve ever eaten. There are lots of nice cafes on the Gold Coast, but what really made Love street stand out was the vibe, everyone who worked there was kind and genuine and it is clear that everyone really cares, if I lived nearby Iโd be in multiple times a week, canโt wait to come back next time I visit. Thank you!...
