I recently visited Yum Cha Cuisine at Pacific Fair and had a mixed experience. Let's start with the positives. One thing that immediately caught my attention was the extensive selection of food. Yum Cha Cuisine offers a wide variety of dishes, ensuring there's something for everyone. I particularly appreciated their selection of main dishes, and the fried and steamed dumplings, which were both flavorful and authentic. And let's not forget their delicious fried rice, which was a definite highlight of the meal. The flavors were on point, and the portion size was generous. However, there were a few downsides that prevented me from giving Yum Cha Cuisine a perfect rating. Firstly, the waiting time was a bit longer than expected. I have however seen improvements since my last visit to Yum Cha Cuisine, they have sped up waiting times and it helps that I come at 6:00pm before the majority of guests at 7:00pm. Another issue I encountered was that the mains arrived before the fried rice. This timing discrepancy disrupted the flow of the meal, as the fried rice is typically enjoyed alongside the main dishes. It would have been better if the kitchen ensured that all the dishes were served as close of a time together to create a more cohesive dining experience. If they can work on improving the waiting time and service consistency, as well as ensuring that all dishes are served together, Yum Cha Cuisine has the potential to become a top-notch dining...
Read moreThe 1 star rating is specifically for the obnoxious , stuck up waitress named Amber who appeared to be only interested in pleasing non Asian customers but disrespectful and inconsiderate to other paying customers. We merely asked for a crispy noodle order to be submitted first for my hungry children , as it would take more time for the kitchen to prepare yet she acted so unprofessionally : Are you ONLY ordering one dish! Well if you’re not ordering in one go then I’m not going to bother hanging around here, I’m better off taking other orders first ..! ‘ and dashed off to another table that had just sat down. When she was asked by her colleagues to assist to take down the rest of the order she was rather impatient and ‘ eye rolling ‘ the whole time giving us her repulsive attitude “ Yep! Yep ! Anything else !! Management should coach her to learn from the rest of her colleagues in treating everyone with courtesy! However , well done to kitchen chefs and the rest of the waitstaff team as food was above average and good service from the rest...
Read moreWent there on Tuesday night just before 7 pm for dinner before the 8:30pm movie that we booked in. There was only one family group in the restaurant so we thought we can enjoy our food with no rush. We ordered 1 BBQ meat set and 1 serving of fried rice. It took 1 hour and 10 minutes to be served on our table. We understand if the restaurant was busy, but there was literally only one table beside us. They explained that the family ordered a lot of dishes, causing the delay in bringing out our food. However, it's not our problem to consider it without any notification before we ordered, stating that we'd have to wait for 1 hour and 10 minutes. They gave us a free dish of dim sum as an apology, however we were not happy with how they handled the delayed situation but we would have been much more grateful if they had informed us about the extended wait time.
This was our first visit, and unfortunately, it will be our last.
Food was okay, nothing special compared to other yumcha. Its bit pricey...
