Food is simply amazing and the cocktails are more so - like works of art. Would also definitely recommend getting the big feast! Fantastic value for money all around.
We felt a little rushed during our dinner service but it was NYE so it’s understandable. Staff were otherwise amazing - thank you to those that helped us!
My only complaint has to do with the actual experience of eating at the restaurant. Due to a technical glitch we had to adjust our original booking from what was originally planned - nothing major and Chris provided two very thoughtful options to pick from, so it’s not at all the basis of my complaint - but when we got there on NYE I was seated in front of the main entrance. It’s important to note that this is a restaurant with no windows and a nice ‘broody’ atmosphere… so when the main entrance opens up, at 7pm during summer you just have glaring sunlight beaming through. And when you’ve been seated directly in front of this for your meal, it’s kinda awful? Whenever those doors open I was blinded so much that I couldn’t see my partner two feet in front of me. It was made so much worse by the fact that the doors kept opening, and each time my eyes would have to adjust from the dark lighting of the restaurant to a blinding white sun. Definitely feels like we were just given the worst seats in the house and it ruined the experience a little.
I’m not sure why they wouldn’t just block a little bit of the wall off where the seating is - there’s already a wall there, it’s just decorative and full of holes.
If we had been placed anywhere else, this easily would’ve been 5 stars. Great food. Amazing drinks. Friendly staff. Would recommend, just be mindful of where...
Read moreI strongly urge everyone to avoid this restaurant. I made a reservation by phone the day before, but when I arrived, the waiter denied it, even after I showed proof of my call. He insisted I needed a confirmation link—something never mentioned when I booked. No customer would expect your booking is not there after the restaurant said your table is confirmed by taking your personal details which is not confirmed. What makes me angry the most, the staff member, Kish, then accused me of lying for the booking even with my phone record to his restaurant number! And he was trying to cover for his fault by reverting I am the faulty party. Let me be clear: I have no reason to lie to dine at a restaurant charging $80+ per person.
The attitude and behavior of this staff member were completely unacceptable, showing a complete lack of professionalism , accountability and customer care in hospitality. It’s clear the restaurant lacks proper training and respect for its customers. For a restaurant charging premium prices, their service is appalling and unacceptable.
There are countless better dining options in town. Do not waste your time or money on this place. They do not respect their customers, and you deserve far better. The bad service provided in thus restaurant might...
Read moreIn response to reply given: 1) Not being open to feedback is a red flag. 2) Read the review- the waiter was harassed and barely wanted to serve what we had never mind be open to feedback/requests at the time 3) I didn't realise we were hiring a car when booking a restaurant, with several pages of "terms and conditions".
Initial Review: Used to love this place but feels like the glory days may be over. At no point when booking for 6pm did they say we had to leave the table for 8pm. Had a harassed waiter come over at 7.10 in the middle of a conversation, to try hurry us up. Food was dry, cold and salty with not enough sauces, cheese or sour cream for all of us (banquet for 5 people). Felt it would put them out if asked for more. Waiter said it would be better to get tequila for desert as it's "quicker", despite some of us being alcohol free. Spent the whole day thinking someone may cancel on me, and having a credit card charge of $25 per person cancellation which seems excessive. Went to pay and were informed we couldn't split the bill. Lucky one of us could pay the whole $500. Staff seemed unhappy to be there. I don't blame them, it often comes from management, lack of support and bad processes. Doubt will be back which is a shame, as the venue itself is...
