Charlie’s Dessert House in Launceston is a delightful haven for dessert lovers. The moment you step inside, you’re greeted by an array of tantalizing treats that promise to satisfy any sweet tooth. The variety of desserts is truly impressive, catering to all preferences with a perfect blend of classic and innovative flavors. I had the pleasure of trying their sticky date and Biscoff flavors, and I must say, they were divine. The sticky date dessert was a warm, comforting embrace of sweet and gooey goodness, while the Biscoff brought a delightful crunch and a unique, caramelized flavor that was simply unforgettable. The ambiance of Charlie’s is cozy and inviting, making it an ideal spot for an after-dinner treat or a sweet midday escape. The staff are friendly and attentive, ensuring that every visit is a pleasant experience. What sets Charlie’s apart is their commitment to quality and variety. Whether you’re in the mood for something rich and chocolatey, fruity and fresh, or warm and spicy, they have it all. And for those with dietary restrictions, they offer a range of gluten-free and vegan options, so no one misses out on the joy of a delicious dessert. In summary, Charlie’s Dessert House is a must-visit for anyone in Launceston. Their sticky date and Biscoff desserts are a testament to their excellence. It’s a place where every bite is a celebration of flavor, and every visit leaves you planning the next. A true gem in the heart of the city. In the end , hot chocolate was great as well.

Great place to set down for a catch up and bite, wonderful selection of desserts and tasty treats to fulfill most cravings. The hardest part is deciding which dessert to choose if you're trying to be good, but if like me you just don't care about the calorie fairies, treat yourself and indulge in a selection. I was thoroughly impressed with their vegan offerings, especially the chocolate brownie, however plan on trying the vegan Snickers next time.

I was craving something sweet and ended up here around 8 pm since it was the only spot open. The chai latte and Balgoum hot chocolate were nice, but the raspberry brownie and banoffee pie were a letdown. Both were overly sweet—the banoffee pie had too much cream with an extra-sweet, hard base. Definitely a no from me. I’ve had banoffee pies in other countries that were far better.

Unfortunately a terrible experience at this place, make sure you are very careful when ordering a cake from this shop, if you can't get into the shop and struggle with ordering it online, like I did, its basically impossible to do it any other way. As I lived in Qld and was ordering a cake for my sisters surprise 50th birthday party in Launceston, after many many calls and 3 emails finally they got back to me and said they would make the cake, then on the Thursday before the Saturday, when I was due to collect the cake, even though they still had not called me to sort out the exact cake I required, they left a message on my phone to say SORRY, can't do it now, we are just too busy. You have got to be kidding me. Very very unprofessional, after saying they would make it and knowing full well this wasn't just any cake, it was for my sisters 50th, not a care in the world and we were left with nothing and some how had to organize how I would get a cake made in 2 days. Good Luck if you are to order a cake from this place………..Left gutted and let down…….Not to mention only one lady I spoke with, in total, when I called on many occasion was even remotely polite or helpful, every time I called it was like I was a burden and they were rude to me, constantly saying how busy they were and they will call when they call you and for me to just email, when I had told them several times that I had already emailed………..Very poor...

Overpriced lacklustre dessert. It has certainly gone downhill since my last visit a year or two ago. My order was wrong and I was undercharged, the young guy who took my order incorrectly was very apologetic and polite. I feel terribly for him as it appears that he may not have been their long but totally owned his mistake which I do appreciate. However, the young lady at the counter who did not help him and then served other people behind me needs a serious attitude adjustment. As I waited to pay the extra money I hadn't been charged, she looked at me with condescension and told me she was going to serve this other woman first and I'd have to wait. Completely unnecessary and rude considering my order was the one that had been taken wrong and I had the money in my hand. Not only this but, it was obvious she wanted myself and 2 friends to leave so she could get the table sorted as there was clearly some reservation issue. This would not have been a problem however, I was still waiting for my dessert to arrive! The other two friends I was with had already received and eaten their food. When mine finally arrived, it was obvious it was a panicked job as it was basically a blob of ice cream on the usual brownie pan with some strawberries thrown on it. No sauce, or care taken... I certainly will never be back. Get your staff some proper training, help them when they're new and maybe have a chat to the thing on...
