Authentic Thai Delight

During our recent visit to this cozy Thai restaurant, we were delighted by the authenticity and bold flavors of each dish. From the moment we stepped in, the warm ambiance and the inviting aroma of Thai spices set the perfect tone for an enjoyable dining experience.

The Dishes We Ordered

Warm Tofu & Vegetable Salad – This was a pleasant surprise! Unlike the usual cold salads, this warm version added a comforting touch to the fresh vegetables and soft tofu. The dressing was well-balanced, combining tangy, sweet, and slightly spicy notes that enhanced the overall taste.

Sweet and Sour Beef Stir-Fry – The beef was cooked to perfection, tender yet slightly crispy on the edges. The sweet and sour sauce had a great balance of flavors, not overly sweet nor too tangy, just the right amount to make every bite irresistible. The addition of fresh bell peppers and onions brought a delightful crunch, complementing the tender meat beautifully.

Pad Thai with Chicken – A must-try classic! The noodles were cooked just right, not too soft nor too chewy. The sauce had a rich, authentic tamarind base, giving it a balanced sweet, sour, and savory taste. The chicken was well-seasoned and paired perfectly with the crushed peanuts and fresh lime, adding layers of texture and flavor.

Our Verdict -

We’re giving this restaurant a solid 9 out of 10! The flavors were true to traditional Thai cuisine, staying authentic while also catering to local palates. The quality of the ingredients, the balance of flavors, and the thoughtful presentation made our meal truly enjoyable. The only reason we held back from a perfect score was that we always believe there’s room for a little extra magic.

If you’re looking for an authentic Thai dining experience, this place is definitely worth a visit. Great food, warm ambiance, and a genuine taste of Thailand—what more could...

We always love the food and atmosphere of Star of Siam. For food I will definitely give them 5 star. But their service needs to be improved. Yesterday night we went there from Burnie. The lady who took the order clearly wrote everything that we had 3 entrée (2 tom yum soups and 1 mixed platter) and then mains. When the food came it was 2 entrée. My husband asked where is another entrée and she said it’s coming. As we were very hungry I started having the soup and my husband was patiently waiting and again called waitress and asked about that soup. She again said “we are waiting you to finish first then will give the next one” and then gave us the mains. Then we again enquired about the soup and the lady came who wrote the order and asked if we had two soups! Yes lady yes. We are asking about it from the beginning. Then after giving the mains they provided the soup at last. My husband couldn’t even finish any of the foods as while having one other would got cold. I wrote all these to mention that this type of scenario can ruin anyone’s mood. We drove 2 hours to had the food we loved but can’t expect this type of bad service. Hope you will work on the service employees. Other than that food was awesome aa usual and all were...

As a big fan of Thai cuisine, I had high expectations for Star of Siam, and I’m happy to say I wasn’t disappointed. The food was flavorful, authentic, and prepared with care, making it a delightful dining experience.

One of the highlights of my meal was the Thai seafood fried rice. I asked for it to be made with less oil, and the staff were happy to accommodate my request. The dish was cooked perfectly, with a good balance of flavors and fresh seafood. I also added some tofu to the fried rice, which blended beautifully with the rest of the ingredients. Every bite was a treat, and I truly enjoyed it.

The service was attentive and friendly, making me feel comfortable and welcome. It’s always a pleasure to dine at a place where the staff genuinely care about meeting your preferences.

Star of Siam is a great spot for anyone who loves Thai food. With their delicious dishes and willingness to customize meals to your liking, it’s easy to see why this place stands out. I’ll definitely be returning to try more items on their menu. Highly recommended for Thai food...
