Very disappointing experience. We visited for Sunday lunch, and although the restaurant wasn’t busy, we waited over an hour for our food—without any update or apology. We ordered a steak and a curry, but what made it worse was watching two other tables who arrived after us get their food and nearly finish eating, while ours still hadn’t arrived.

We asked the staff about it and were only told that “it’s coming”—no explanation, no apology. By 1:45 PM, we were still waiting. We had come for lunch and ended up leaving starving.

We really wanted to enjoy this place, but this experience left us frustrated and disappointed. Sadly, we won’t be coming back.

Thanks for the reply, but the table right near the entrance received their MAIN DISHES before we did, even though they arrived two tables after us. I believe food should be prepared and served in order of arrival—not delayed simply because we ordered steak, while others who came later are served faster.

Also, we didn't been ask whether we wanted the entrée soup to come together with the main dishes. It shouldn’t be assumed by default that all entrées should be...

My wife and I went here for an anniversary dinner. The starter and mains were average -- the asparagus with my prime rib was tough and undercooked. But where things really unraveled was dessert. We both ordered the Sticky Date Pudding. Hers arrived first and then it took 20 some minutes for mine to appear. Hers was not soft and moist the way SDP should be. When mine arrived (it was soft and moist) and I was just about done, I suddenly realized that both of ours should have come with the Van Diemens Land ice cream (as indicated on the menu) but didn't. When we complained to the waitress, she initially said that she would take the desserts off our bill. But when I went to the counter to pay, she said that I would be paying for one of the desserts because I ate it. She argued with me, finally told me that she would discount the second dessert. When I told her that it's a bad idea to argue with a customer, she said, "I don't care, I don't mind doing that." Well, perhaps your boss will mind this review. My wife and I will never go to this...

If I could give another star I would have. First off I hate to say it but I'm a really picky eater and second I'm not a fan of reviewing a restaurant after one visit as I could of just gotten lucky with my choice of meal or day that I decided to dine but clear fact is I dined with my wife and 4 kids of which we all tried each other's meals and couldn't pick a fault!

I'm big on sauces and I tried 5 different ones and they absolutely satisfied. Every element was cooked to perfection, vegetables were all cooked equally and heated to match the protein on the plate. I wanted to take the family out for a treat as it's hard these days to afford it and I can say that a) the meals are priced appropriately (not too expensive) and b) this is absolutely a great family restaurant.

To top everything off the service was brilliant, warm and friendly. This was definitely a highlight of our school holidays and would easily say one of the best meals I have eaten since moving to tassie 3 years ago...

Well done Chefs / staff. Keep up...

Chef clearly takes pride in their kitchen which was demonstrated in the quality of output. We are not talking a hatted restaurant here - nor are they claiming to be that - this is honest food and hospitality. Steak is the headline however don’t dismiss the rest of their menu. The seafood plater looked excellent leaving me with food envy when served to the table next to us. Front of house were friendly, efficient and professional - we were made to feel at home and well taken care of. Thank you to Kasey and all the staff - keep doing what you’re doing!

This is A very nice establishment, but slightly pricey. Menu needs more explanation. My main course the 'light meal' Duck Leg, was one leg but with a range of Roasted vegetables, not mentioned in menu... So for 'light', I assumed no extras and ordered a large plate of fries to go with meal. Only a good size meal came out along with the large chips that predominantly went waisted! However everyone could not fault their meals and although reasonably high priced will defiantly find a way back.
