Albion Hotel Dandenong — Restaurant in Melbourne

What a terrible experience we has at the Albion tonight We sat towards the back of the main dinning room and froze all evening . Neither of the 2 open fire places were lite,: when asked we were told the only lady who knew how to light them;had left ???? Ever heard of a match guys. My daughter had risotto which was cold while we waited a further 45min for the rest of the table a table to get food which came in dribs a drabs The steak was OK however the pie was terrible and my Kiev had not a ounce of garlic butter in it. My son-in-law had a lamb burger which came out after the other five of us had eaten . I so wanted this to be a good a experience but was sadly disappointed We had to get coffee from the sports bar and the lattes sprinkled with chocolate but the cappuccino left blond. No saucers as they had run out no spoons or sugar given . We left stone cold, party because the main entrance door was left open and each time the door to the dinning was opened a gush of cold air followed. E When it's 7 degrees outside and you have no heating a soft in the morgue would havecbeen better. I really wanted this to be a good experience but what a total waste of $250:00 + dollars You will need to lift your game as a small business you are failing on the small stuff which is important for the repeat business you will need to survive will need to do better Shame on...

I'm not the organiser. We came here for a friend's 30th birthday and were looking forward to a private area that was done up for the occasion.

Unfortunately upon entry the indoor function area turned outside very quickly with rain spraying down the roof in a few places. The floor was a few centimetres deep in the areas where people would be standing. The seating areas both had sprays of water throughout. Eventually after trying to mop out the area we were told they could change the location to a more public area in the venue but still we would have some privacy. This seemed to work quite well!

The staff were helpful. The drinks were priced ok.

There were mixed feedback about the food, but I liked what I had. Some of the food that was paid for didn’t actually make it out which was a shame and I’m hopeful that the money for that was refunded.

Being told by one of the security guards to stop using the toilet so much confused me, I'm not sure what that was about.

I would hire this area myself - when the roof is fixed because this is Melbourne and we know the clouds can dump at any time here!

(5-10-23) The waitress was very rude and looked like she didn't want to be there. Ordered our meals and waited so we could order drinks again was rude and it didn't seem like she new what she was doing. We receivied our Entree of Calamari which was quite nice the waitress was so rude that she came to take the plate away before we had even finished. We barely finished our Entree and the mains was brought out - Chicken Scaloppini, The Chicken was quite nice but there was way, way to much sauce and that ruined the whole dish. When the waitress collected out plates she asked if we still wanted out dessert, (Chocolatae Mouse with cream and Strawberries) because we hadn't finished out plates. Dessert arrived and again a big disappointment, it was served in a Water Glass and had some sort of berry puree over it, this again ruined the whole dessert. We were not told or asked if the berry stuff would be ok. It would have been a big no from us. We have had tea there before and it was quite nice unfortunately after this experience I don't think we will be back!! Also when we ordered we were the only people in the Bistro and one other gentleman came...
