Had dinner there with some friends. Overall had a nice evening but some things left to desired. The good: Fish taco tasted nice but was quite small and from the looks of it, the dish might of simply been a fish finger served on a tortilla. Arepas were tasty. Kind of like a grilled mash potato with protein on top. The pork one was quite nice but the meat in the chicken was soo shredded and minced that it felt like I was eating tuna. The venue is very nice. Cool vibe and atmosphere.
Could be better: Mulitas was literally a hotdog with mince meat instead of a sausage. It was a massive amount of bread for not much meat. Overall the restaurants meat in all dishes is so minced up and shredded to oblivion that despite its nice flavour, texturally its all very generic. The service is very slow. We were one of the first few customers there and it still took 20+ minutes to get our drinks. The male staff member there didn't really seem to know much about the menu and wasn't very helpful at all. The menu is confusing at first as I am not that familiar with Mexican food but once you realise its basically, pick your protein and the form you want it to be served, its much easier (i.e. meat on a tortilla, potato mash or bun?)
I think this restaurant has a lot of potential so good luck. I hope this...
Read moreI made a booking here over the weekend for a large group of what ended up being 12 people. Ahead of time, I asked to be served the set menu advertised on their website for all guests. No concerns were raised. Orders for drinks were taken, and the cocktails were indeed delicious. However, they were far too slow and some individuals were waiting 30 minutes for their drinks. More bar staff should’ve been rostered on knowing there was going to be a large group. Then, the food started coming out, and it was not the advertised set menu. The male wait staff member who was apologetic and accomodating was also perplexed how this could have occurred. The manager woman didn’t seem to be bothered at all, however. We were served cold fries, terrible guacamole and a couple of dry tacos each. No one left happy. One upside is the excellent decor. Will...
Read moreI recently visited Casa N.O.N based on a friend's recommendation, but unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. Despite my friend's repeated inquiries about whether a dish was spicy, the waiter assured us it wasn't. However, the first dish was indeed spicy, leading us to request a replacement. The second dish also had a lot of spice, despite clear communication about our preference. Eventually, a non-spicy dish was provided.
The bigger issue arose when we went to pay: we were charged for the initial two spicy dishes that we didn’t consume. When we questioned this, the person in charge insisted the charge was correct, which was frustrating. I hope the restaurant reviews its policies and training to avoid such issues in the future.
I recommend everyone to check the bill before made...
