Dear Store Management, I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with my recent experience at your store. Today, my husband and I visited the café to purchase a cup of coffee. However, we encountered an unpleasant situation with an Asian female staff member who treated us unfairly. Although we clearly stated that we only wanted an iced Americano, the staff member told us they had already closed. We understood the café’s closing time, but then she also mentioned that they were out of milk, which is irrelevant for an iced Americano. What is particularly troubling is that after we left, a family of customers entered the store and successfully purchased coffee. This situation left me questioning whether our experience was influenced by the fact that we are Asian customers. I find it hard to believe that this was a mere coincidence, especially since we did not request any other drinks. The staff member’s actions seemed unreasonable and unfair. As customers, we expect to be treated with equality and respect, regardless of our race, gender, or background. I sincerely hope that your store will look into this matter and take appropriate steps to ensure that all customers receive fair and friendly service. Thank you for your attention, and I look forward to your response.

I did not realise how little was open on a Sunday! Friend and I were looking for places close to MCEC and wanted brunch - this was around 10:45am. We initially wanted to go to another cafe close by but when we got there people were queued up and we were so hangry and impatient! We ended up looking for this little gem instead (through a quick google maps look at what else could be around). It was also very full but we ended up only waiting for 8 or so minutes for a table for 2 and it was very quick service. Staff were attentive and kind and the food hit the spot when we needed it most! We ordered our coffees first and got a skinny latte and an oat cap. Then for food we got an eggs benedict and an avo toast with smoked salmon. My one was the avo toast, and it tasted super fresh. Nothing special in terms of flavours, but a yummy and classic fave. Overall a pleasant experience. We spent about 30ish each.

I tried their eggs Benedict ($24) and it was delicious! You get a choice of bacon, ham, smoked salmon, pulled pork or mushrooms. Eggs were poached well. Hollandaise was thicker than expected but still deliciously creamy. Love how they provided a serrated knife to make eating it that much more pleasurable, and also gave a bottle of water and glass without having to ask. Mocha (small $5.50) was nice too. No surcharge on card. The entrance is actually on Downie St - if you just looked at Flinders Lane according to their google maps address, you may think the shop's closed and move on. Fast service - didn't wait long for order to be taken and food arrived within 10 minutes with drink arriving before that (August 2023)

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of visiting Cherry and Twigs Cafe, and it was truly a delightful experience. From the friendly and polite staff to the delicious food and coffee, our breakfast at Cherry and Twigs was thoroughly enjoyable.

The staff members were incredibly welcoming and treated us with genuine warmth. Their friendliness and politeness added a special touch to our visit, making us feel right at home. We were impressed by their attentiveness and the excellent service they provided throughout our meal.

Speaking of the food and coffee, they were nothing short of fantastic. The menu offered a range of appetizing options, and each dish we ordered was beautifully prepared and full of flavor. We savored every bite, appreciating the use of quality ingredients and the chef's skillful execution. The coffee was also exceptional, perfectly brewed and a delightful complement to our breakfast.

Overall, our breakfast experience at Cherry and Twigs Cafe was memorable. The combination of friendly staff, delicious food, and great coffee made it a truly enjoyable visit. We left the cafe feeling satisfied and grateful for the wonderful start to our day.

I must say we were disappointed. As CBD locals we were excited to try this place hoping it would become our new regular Saturday cafe. Overall ambience is nice and I love the open feel but the service was absolutely appalling. The younger waitress was lovely and the 2 stars are for her but the older lady with short bobbed hair was miserable. She never smiled or gave any kind of welcome and when taking our money not once did she ask how everything was and barely said thank you as we left. That wasn't the worst of it, the whispering to other staff and openly laughing about customers was the main reason we won't be returning. There are a few other options in the area that provide service without judgement.

*Update to my previous review. We decided to try again. It seems to have improved and the main person in my last review has changed attitude. She was friendly and actually smiled. Food was amazing and their pulled pork is super tasty 😋 All other staff are amazing and...
