My recent visit to Clement Coffee in South Melbourne Markets left me thoroughly impressed. This hidden gem amidst the bustling market atmosphere offers a coffee experience that's truly exceptional.

The first thing that struck me was the skill and passion of the baristas. They meticulously crafted my Piccolo latte, resulting in a perfect balance of rich espresso and velvety steamed milk. It was evident that they take their coffee seriously, and the quality shone through with every sip.

The ambiance at Clement Coffee was charming and cozy, providing a welcome respite from the market's hustle and bustle. Whether you choose to sit outdoors or enjoy your coffee while exploring the markets, the atmosphere is inviting and conducive to relaxation.

In addition to their exceptional coffee, their pastries and snacks are equally delightful. I couldn't resist trying their Donuts, which paired perfectly with my Piccolo latte.

Overall, Clement Coffee at South Melbourne Markets is a must-visit for coffee aficionados and anyone seeking a moment of respite amidst the market's excitement. The combination of exceptional coffee, a cozy atmosphere, and a commitment to sustainability makes it a standout destination....

I went here to have ham and cheese croissants last week and it was good. However, today I came back again and it was really piss me off. The services was extremely bad. I asked for heat up and take away. I waited outside the shop for a while and I saw the staff bring the order up to the customers no matter eat in or take away therefore, I was expected that the staff will bring my order up to me when it is ready. Unfortunately, I saw 2 heated croissants were ready in the bag and left on the counter and no one cares about it. And I wait and wait for the staff bring my order up as I don't know that is my order or not. After a while, I walked up and asked for my order then gave me the croissants that left on the counter. I was really upset they made me wait for so long and the croissants were not even hot anymore. So what's the point I asked for heat up. I will never...

Clement is used to be my go to coffee when visiting SM market. However, from the last experience, I will definitely go elsewhere for my coffee. Nothing about their drink but more about the staff attitude. We went there last Saturday as a group of 4+2 kids. The big table was occupied at that time by an old lady so what left is only the small tables with 2 chairs each. We thought "fine, we will just get more chairs and squeeze in the small tables, we only sit there for coffee, not eating anyway." However when we just pick up a chair, a staff memeber came up from behind and shout "hey, what are you doing?" in, let's say, not so friendly tone. We were treated as if we are stealing their chairs 😂. It's safe to say that Clement is no longer in our list when it comes to coffee...

We ordered a matcha and at first, we tasted it and it did not taste like matcha only milk and bitter. We gave feedback that it doesn’t taste like matcha and all they did was pour more of their watered down syrup onto my cup and it still did not taste like matcha. I gave another feedback that it still doesn’t taste good and they said that “most other places give artificial taste matcha and that’s why and we use ceremonial matcha” i have tasted and made ceremonial matcha and it does not taste like this. The color is not even green, it is grey. Very disappointing with both the taste and service.

Clement Cafe is located outside of South Melbourne market, on Cecil street. It is a popular place as it has one of the nicest cafes in the market. My espresso was strong, with a pleasant, all-most-raspberry aftertaste. Making the decadent pastries and doughnuts a perfect match. It may be small inside, but they still make use of the walls with an interesting pattern, which is reflected on the cups. Lines are a common occurrence but worth the wait.
