Would not come back ever.

Every time I am in South Melbourne, we grab a Gozleme. I've dined here a few times post CoVid time and has no fault on the food but the service is non-existent from waitress to floor management, it overstated to say they have the ability to comprehend what customer service is. How he ( manager) got the job , I have no idea, but I guess that where you compare management from a $$$ restaurant vs $$.

Upon returning to the restaurant after 2 yrs reminds me why i didn't come back.

Along the strip of restaurant in South Melbourne markets are a rule where you cannot eat or even have food if it from different restaurant, even if this whole family spending hundreds eating at the same restaurant and ONE other person brings in one small food in ( with no clear marketing advertisement showing off another restaurant) is not tolerated.

This policy I understand if the restaurant is busy but today happens to be a dead in south Melbourne day, there were only three other table other than ours, as I sat with my paella packaging looked just like the Gozlemes, the manager sent a Asian waitress to ask us to leave even though my husband had ordered coffees, a meal and Gozleme. We ended up scoffing down out coffees and left.

Honestly, if they hire better floor management staff that has a business background with any scope of good customer service, they would have been flexible given the place was empty. They can go ahead and tell me their normal policy of " no outside food to be consumed" but given it's quiet, they'd be okay with it just for today, that could have resulted in a positive outcome and returning business.

You've lost a customer and I will certainly tell everyone...

Have been a regular customer for more than 5 years and absolutely love the food. The simple spinach and cheese gozleme is a solid lunch and is quite affordable when adding a drink, making it $15.00 a person.

However, it is time that I say that I have been burnt. The customer service is shockingly appalling. The lady whom served us was absolutely pathetic and horrible. From the moment we arrived, we were not served, only did we know to place our order when she gave us a cold stare. She was very successful in showing us that she was mad and did not want to put our two gozleme’s on the hot plate. As upset as she was, she did not get our order correct and missed our drinks. On requesting our drinks, she gaslighted us in front of all other customers in line into making us think we were trying to scam her when really she charged us less and got our order incorrect. She gave us the absolute worst attitude and raised her voice sarcastically, belittling us in front of others. I was startled as she made sarcastic jokes as we walked away.

Customer service is one aspect that I highly value. After this incident, I’m sad to say that I will no longer be supporting this business. I remain upset at these events and will source other amazing options at South...

Total disregard for COVID19 - DO NOT EAT HERE Only one waitress wore a mask, when management was asked why the rest were not, including the owner himself the excuses came thick and fast. A. It’s because we are serving outside, when it was pointed out the chef, the two other wait staff and himself are inside I got the next excuse. B. Oh the regulations changed. No they haven’t, Victoria has had a mask wearing requirement for many months and this hasn’t changed for restaurants. So I pointed out there were regular announcements made by the market management that EVERYONE is required to wear a mask, then the next excuse. C. Oh we aren’t part of the market, despite operating under the roof of South Melbourne market.

Total disregard for the health regulations, not impressed. I should also add when the young waitress was asked why she wasn’t wearing a mask the excuse was ‘it’s my first day’, then ‘I have a heart condition and I’ll die if I wear a mask’

The staff also made no attempt to shoo out the pigeons that kept wandering through...

If you want to see what abysmal customer service is, go to the Koy stall at South Melbourne markets. We have been here 4 times hoping to see in a change in the acidic treatment of customers by the 3 women that prep and cook the pastries. The women are somehow always bad tempered and bitter, by some fault in their personal lives and make a point to let you know that you are inconveniencing them for attending their stall to purchase their gozleme. Regarding the gozleme, you’re better off just buying bread. There is what appears, an accidental dash of fillings that you need to forage through layers of pastry to find. $12 for pastries with the remotest fillings and encountering deeply bitter and resentful customer service is just not going to cut it for us anymore. We tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt but they have insisted to maintain their approach to customers. Good luck to the three of you, but we will be spending our money elsewhere from now on.

I was taking a photo at the shop when a woman who works there said, ‘That’s not nice,’ because she thought I was taking a photo of her. But I was like, what do you mean ‘not nice’?! People take photos everywhere nowadays, and it’s something that’s hard to avoid. Besides, I even saw the same woman in a Google Maps photo that someone else had taken and posted there already. Lol. Anyway, I wasn’t taking a photo of her, and if she’s not happy with it, maybe she shouldn’t work somewhere so public. Or at least, there should be a clear sign stating that photography is not allowed. I’m sure people will want to take photos or videos there, especially if the food is being made in public and looks like they’re showing it off. If she really doesn’t want to be in photos, she should stay inside, and then no one will take a picture of her. Lol. *Food was amazing!!

Went for Sunday breakfast. The place was moderately busy. Started with coffees which were fragrant and tasty. They have a selection of Turkish coffee and tea as well. We ordered the Kavurmalı Yumurta which is diced lamb and veg with 4 eggs, bread and chilli. It recommends it for 2 people but honestly, 3 or 4 would probably work as well. The lamb was tender and well flavoured. The chilli had more of a kick to it than expected which was a pleasant surprise. The neighbouring tables got gozleme from the outside kitchen. These look delicious and also had faster service as they cook it to order for you to take back to your table. Will try these in the future.
