It’s a charming little venue with a unique atmosphere — perhaps even iconic when it first began. However, I’ve noticed that the service can feel somewhat dismissive at times, which may be due to the challenges of dealing with intoxicated patrons.
Smokers, in particular, might feel a bit unwelcome. Even with an active tab, being asked to rejoin the entry line after stepping out for a smoke can be frustrating, especially when your drink is left unattended and begins to dilute.
On one occasion, a staff member who had finished their shift sat in the seat where I had my belongings, which felt a little intrusive. Although they later questioned whether it was appropriate, the situation was awkward and could have been avoided with clearer boundaries.
I don’t mind sharing space, but it would be nice if guests stepping out briefly could be allowed quicker re-entry, especially when their personal items and drinks are still inside. Read moreFifty Five is a cozy and aesthetically pleasing spot that offers a laid-back atmosphere perfect for unwinding. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with thoughtfully curated decor that gives the space a unique charm. I particularly enjoyed the comfortable sofas, which made for a relaxing experience; however, they could use a bit of cleaning to maintain their comfort and appeal.

Never understand what's the point of playing loud music in a place like this where people just...
