I rarely write negative reviews, but after our recent visit to Krabby’s Krab Boil, I feel compelled to share our experience.
We arrived at 8:40 pm, only to be told almost immediately that the kitchen was closing soon and that we needed to place our order quickly. The restaurant was not closing until 10 pm, and the kitchen at 9:30 pm, so this rushed approach felt unnecessary and confusing. No one asked us if we had visited before, which could have helped alleviate some of our confusion with the ordering process.
The iPad ordering system was cumbersome and not user-friendly, making it difficult to navigate. Despite this, the staff repeatedly pressured us to place our order quickly, leaving us feeling stressed and uncomfortable. The pressure was relentless, and we were interrupted multiple times, making it impossible to enjoy the experience.
When our food arrived, it was not without issues. Our order was sent out twice, despite only placing it once, and when we pointed this out, there was no apology — only an attempt to blame us for not using the iPad properly. To add insult to injury, the mud crab we had ordered was missing from our original delivery. We had to ask for it, and when it was finally brought out, it was a tiny, underwhelming crab with barely any meat, which was not what we expected given the price.
Had the staff been more patient and offered guidance on the ordering process, we would likely have made additional orders and spent more money. Instead, the hurried and impersonal approach left us feeling neglected and dissatisfied.
As if that weren’t enough, the atmosphere was far from pleasant. Throughout our meal, staff members were loudly cleaning and frantically preparing to close, which made it impossible to enjoy our food in peace.
Given the combination of poor service, a confusing ordering system, and subpar food quality, this experience was nothing short of...
Read moreIf you love CRAB - you have hit a JACKPOT. I have travelled a lot and tasted world cuisine at point of origin and hands down I can say that here I tasted the FRESHEST BLUE SWIMMER crab, I have ever had. I took delivery and the care they have taken to seal the pot spoke very highly about the quality standard. When I pulled open the lid the aroma was simply to die for - it is then I realised I hit a jackpot. I had taken Make Your Own option and chose Cajun sauce and two Blue Swimmer Crab and hand made Roti. May be next time I will chose garlic butter and ultimate will be chilly garlic (but that option is not there still)..but Cajun sauce was so so well done. Every morsel was a treat. I don’t know if any of you had ever got eggs with the crab. It is a very rare catch and I may be lucky but the clustered eggs were out-of-the-world. Amazing is the chef has carefully retained them and served it as is - this speaks very highly of kitchen ethics and no doubt this Restuarant puts customer at the top. There actions speak loud and clear about it. If all the periphery (I described so far) can be so amazing, think what the crab has been. This is like 24 carat gold CRAB. I can’t actually describe, it has to be tasted. Dirty your both hands and plunge in and then only unearth the pleasure of a true connoisseur.
Value for money - I am ready to pay double of what I paid for this quality. I will request Restuarant owner (if he/she reads it) don’t get that idea, but to crab lovers I can say for sure this is worth it mate.
Try it out when you have time and the right mood. If you want to pair I will suggest you a vintage Sauvignon Blanc to go with it, but remember your both hands will be with crab juice 😌 so...
Read moreWe made a reservation for Thursday @ 19:30 and upon arrival which we were 10 mins late we saw a note saying last order is 19:45 and the staff who greeted us told us there’s a staff function tonight so all order has to be in by 19:45. I do understand it’s the time of the year and staff’s are recognised for their hard work they put throughout the year. But if I was told upon making my booking about all of these I would have not chosen Krabby as our choice of dinner for that night. We were pushed to order. Entree and main came at the same time. And they are expecting us to swallow the whole dinner under 30 mins as we had to leave by 8:50pm. On top we had a birthday cake for a 1st birthday to be memorable. On our way out one of the staff member was on our back making us feeling uncomfortable that we have to leave. We sat at entrance chair to get our baby changed as the weather were getting cold and we were pushed so they can lock the door. Staff party I get it but made that whole experience rude and as if we came to eat for free. So we are getting kick out. I asked for a validation parking tickets and we were told you can you’ve already left. Mate seriously it was the most disgraceful and disgusting behaviour from your staff to be treating customers like that. I visit a Krabby restaurant every 2nd or 3rd months but this behaviour was...
