FOOD POISONING 25 MINUTES WAIT JENNIFER, RUDE, DISGUSTING MANAGER. AVOID. The meal I ordered this morning took 25 minutes to receive following payment. Receipt and other info attached. After the last time I visited this store, I asked for it to be cooked fresh as it was disgusting and thrown out. The food I received this morning was even worse: cold, and smelled off. I had two bites and threw it all away again. I woke this morning feeling incredibly unwell, know what food poisoning feels like, thus forced to book a consult with the doctor this afternoon. After trying the food, I called the store and there was no answer. Thus, I went in today, with the receipt and politely asked for a refund from the shift manager Jennifer. She said to do this she would need proof of transaction as I "...probably picked it up off the street". Talk about rude and insulting. Despite this, I went home, and returned, presenting her with a copy of the transaction from my online bank. She stated that she'd spoke with the store manager (but wouldn't let me speak to them, nor give their name or when they were working next) and would only offer a replacement meal. This is obviously in contravention of Australian Consumer Law. Notably, 'the refund must be in the same method as the purchase' and "Businesses can't take away a consumer's right to a refund or replacement for faulty products or services. It's illegal for businesses to rely on store policies or terms and conditions which deny these rights." (ACCC) She insulted and belittled me in front of staff and customers, and was just incredibly rude and showed no care, as well as engaging in misleading and deceptive conduct. I expect a full refund to my card (you admit there was fault by offering the food replacement - obviously being as ill as I am, there is no way I would eat your food again), compensation for such dreadful treatment, acting illegally and the cost of $110 to see the doctor plus any prescribed medication (yet to be determined). If I am forced to take time off work due to your unhygienic negligence and/or do not receive the above, I will issue you with a letter of demand, seeking further damages, engage a solicitor and list the matter with VCAT and the Department of Health. YOU PEOPLE...
Read moreTonight was the worst experience that I have ever had at St Kilda McDonald's out of all the McDonald's I have been to through out Australia.I went. In and ordered two McFlurry and a caramel frappe my order number was 122 now when I heard and saw people that had come after me going before me I approach the counter to make inquired about my order with the manager and as it was quite busy he had to go back on the order screen to find it which he did and then he gave it to a girl and asked her to do it so I thought great I have been here for 15 it won't be much longer well the next thing I see is the girl that the manager asked to do the order doing other orders she put the one that the manager given her to one side and picked up a little pile of orders and started to do them so after she had done another three orders I thought I would inquire into my order again only because by this stage she had just finished 133 and since I was 122 I believe that I had waited long enough especially with what happened when I did inquire.so when I did inquire the girl really snapped at me how I had to wait my turn so then I asked for the manager which didn't go well either as he had a very bad attitude towards me and to what was going on and was argued that I had to wait my turn but when I pointed out my turn had come and gone and the girl that I watched him give my lost order to the girl to do just put it to one side He just kept going with what stance so I asked for my money back but as he was doing the refund he attended out even worse and was tearing stripes off me to the point I had to walk out and my wife had to finish things off for me.I have never been treated the way I been treated tonight at St Kilda McDonald's and spoken too the way I was I understand that they are busy there but that is no reason or excuse to treat people the way that the manager and the girl did I am not someone who complaines infact I have never ever written a review good or bad before in my life but the way that I was treated was so bad I feel like I had to write this review not good enough McDonald's not good enough...
Read moreI'm not a big fan of writing reviews for Macca's not because I have anything against the golden arches but mostly because they follow a formula written by them and rightly so. The thing about Macca's is that doesn't matter where you are in the world when you enter one of the stores at any country in this world one thing that you will be sure about is you will feel comfortable and secure in knowing that Macca's is the same doesn't matter in which corner of the world you are in. And that's what they want you to feel. Back to the store in Acland st they just completed most of the upgrade and it was needed to. It's a brand new place, the counter got a lot bigger, the have put double the amount of the, don't come to the counter to order machines and the sitting are has been designed for maximum and more open sitting. They have opened another exit and the entry point has been changed to right in the middle of were the steps are. Being that, that store is in a very small property they got as much as they could from the inside now for the drive through it will be very interesting to see if they keep the existing way of the cars doing a circle or they redesign it and to what the design will be. That store is always going to be busy because of it's location being St Kilda right opposite the luna Park. And unfortunately for anyone who would love to have something different to eat late at night until such time we only have Macca's and kebabs. With the only exception being Topolinos thank God for that but they close after 1.30 am. So until we get someone who dares to open and offer something different the golden arches and kebabs...
