Love this place - definitely a hidden gem in Southbank, located near St Kilda road trams, Sturt St trams and on Coventry st. Super friendly staff, excellent food, with many healthy options, breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon tea and afternoon sippers to make your mouth water.

The Bahn Mi are the best in our area by far, dare I say it, in Melbourne! (My two go twos - chicken schnitzel with coleslaw and pate base or roast pork and crackle with Vietnamese veggies. Yummmmmmmm!)

Queenie’s do a range of hot and cold dine in or take away foods/meals and are open early until 4ish. Seating is spread out - inside and out, with wheelchair access. Happy for you to sit and read with a coffee or do uni work etc.

Super friendly, family like atmosphere and very reasonable prices make for an all around great experience.

They use the app Rewardle to collect points from coffee/teas bought - so installing the app is worthwhile. Parking is paid using Easy Park app or meter. Parking is free before 8am. (Or get there by tram

Orders can be phoned in ahead. They do sell wine for those prone to an afternoon tipple and a gossip with friends, before they close.

It gets really busy between 11-2roughly with queues snaking...

I've been coming to this cafe for 5 years now, used to come nearly every day 2-3 years ago but now only once every few weeks to months. The food is consistently great, the coffee is amazing, and the service is always prompt and friendly. There's a good reason there are usually lines out the door during lunchtime when other cafes in the area can't even reach full capacity.

A friend of mine loves it so much he always brings visitors to Melbourne here.

Today I ordered a grilled pork roll with extra chilli and no coriander and was told that there was no pork left but they had chicken instead which I was happy with. Once I got home and unwrapped my roll I was pleasantly surprised at how spicy and flavourful it was. My flat white was also perfect as always (thanks to the friendly barista who always serves...

So I decided to try this cafe today and ordered a coffee and a croissant and mentioned to the girl at the counter that I wanted the croissant slightly toasted/warmed up. I asked if I could sit and she said yes. As I got the croissant, it was cold from the inside. I informed her that its cold from the inside and she made a face and blamed me that “you asked for it to be slightly warm”. Instead of offering she could reheat it, she blamed me. I told her but its cold and if she could just heat the entire plate up would be fine by me. This entire experience wasn’t pleasant. I understand if it was my fault for asking it to be slightly toasted. But I have been to a lot of cafes and always ask for the same order and I have never experienced this anywhere else. Won’t...

I really just stumbled on Queenie’s. I was walking from the city to Toorak and happened upon the place. It is located at the base of a residential tower about a block from the remembrance shrine/park. Quite a happening little area, and it was fairly busy when I entered, still I was seated within a few minutes. The wait staff were lovely and polite. The menu as you can see from the attached was comprehensive. As far as breakfast was concerned, this was exactly what you need. No fuss, food and beverages cooked well and delivered on point. The outdoor terrace has a quite nice aspect through to the Melbourne CBD. I’d highly recommend anyone stumbling across the venue for a breakfast outing.

Aaah-mazing! Had brunch for the first time today at Queenie’s. How pleasant, surprisingly big and airy inside. Plenty of free 3hr parking too. Great food, great prices and wonderful staff. Had the pancake with fruits, hubby had the crispy pork banh mi with latte each. We both went yummm! Then I ordered the Beef Vermicelli salad bow to take home for dinner. So good! We’ll be back to try the rest of your menu Queenie’s!
