Edit / update: i returned today to get a slice and it was at least 1/4 thinner in size and so thin it actually came in a smaller box this time. I then asked to return in because it is not worth $11 for one thin slice. I was told they use a guide for slices but this clearly isnt used very well considering the inconsistency. Additionally, although they could charge me instantly i now have to wait 5-7 days for a refund 🙄 not happy st all, wont go here again despite the desire for this cake.
After 4 days going in and calling in to see if they had the cake i was looking for i was neglected to be told it was not delivered for the week until day 3 but it was coming the next day. So i went in the next day and they still didnt have it and i mentioned the communication problems. I then asked to be contacted when they had it and to my surprised 2 hours later they had it arrive in the evening. I decided to drive down and get some but the 2 slices i got were uneven and much smaller then the last time i had gone to get some and this was for a friends (now belated) birthday wish. I do not feel it was worth $10+ per slice at this size and im very disappointed no more was done to make up for the troubles. Read moreI ordered a latte and after a couple of mouthfuls the milk definitely tasted funny. I went to the register where the young lady shrugged me off but then went to the manager, who also gave me a shrug off and then asked if I wanted it replaced, I said no thanks as it had put me off. The young girl then said ok "thank you" and turned around, I asked for a refund and was told this was not common practice. I was polite although fuming inside and asked for the refund and mentioned as you can see I have not drank any (excluding a couple of mouthfuls) , she had to call the manager to approve this, asked for my cc and when I said I paid by cash she rolled her eyes and had to get authorisation as she did not know how to do it. Finally money refunded with no apology. When checking out where they leave there milk it's left on the bench next to the cooking equipment. I have woken up numerous times throughout the night and lets just say it was not pleasant. I cannot confirm that it was the milk that made me stay up all night but given the fact that this was the only thing I had yesterday I'm guessing so.. Read moreSan churros is a personal favourite of mine and has always lived up to high expectations, however this store was highly lacking in customer service.
The store only had two tables seated and had two workers. I had to stand at the counter to make my order for about 10 minutes, being told half way through that they’ll be just a moment. Besides that, there were no friendly greetings, no acknowledgement that we were there, just focused on preparing drinks and food that were previously ordered.
Finally when being served, I showed a UNiDAYS discount and was told that they had never seen that deal before. They said they would try it and they were not at all happy or friendly about it. The interaction was hasty and very abrupt as if we were being unpleasant customers in the 2 minutes of ordering.
The food took an average amount of time to arrive and tasted the same as normal. Nothing was said when it was served and no facial expressions.
I have given it 2 stars as customer service is so important and I was very disappointed with it. I will not be coming back to this store and would recommend the managers to revaluate their training as their employees need...
