Secret Garden Bar — Restaurant in Melbourne

Two negative reviews for this place The first time I was there for 3-4 hours and in that time my drink was spiked and when I became really ill and tried to tell the person who worked there that was what happened he shrugged me off gave me a water and that was it, no one helped me AT ALL The second time I had a booking for my birthday and by the second half of our session drinks were taking 30-40 minutes to come, Some of us also payed for a 2 hour drinks package on top of the bottle service I booked and that was stopped after an hour because some people had been given drinks who weren’t on a package, so instead of those individual people being warned not to do it again or something like that, our packages were taken from us an hour early, BUT, we weren’t told this was going to happen when we payed for 2 hours, once our session was up we wanted to stay longer and we were told we could and we just needed to work our whether we wanted to pay as we go or go on another package and after I went to ask everyone what they wanted to do, which would have taken 5 minutes, we were all told we had to leave because we took too long to decide, definitely not worth the money at all and wouldn’t...

I am quite disappointed with the guard behaviour( skinny). The security guards was terrible and quite abusive. When I reached to the secret bar around 1130 today( about an hour ago). The guard(skinny) tole me that the bar is closing at 12:00 so he can't let me in which is a fair call..! I don't understand that he pushed me back for no reason and quite abusive... Saying to me “ never come to this place??? while being abusive... Why???” when I was leaving the venue and haven't said anything to him.

When I have left the venue and standing near pizza shop and 5th province bar ( facing the security bar) and smoking 🚬 . to calm myself. He walked towards me with the other guard and reached me there ( outside the venue ) and tried to fight with me for what??? I never had this kind of experience. I just avoided the situation and walked away further...

I believe this is bit unfair and would advise the management to refer to the cameras ( if available) why was he trying to fight with me for no reason... when I am not even close to the venue and not interested to chat with him. Unfortunately, It was not a pleasant...

While any all you can drink event is difficult, it’s sadly let down by service that does not reach standards that make sense, or compare well to the other Bottomless events in Melbourne. Which were objectively better ran, and avoided any abrasiveness that could arise.

Overall, in 2 hours, I had 4 drinks, despite paying $59, which while one could say got my money back, it was disappointing overall, especially in comparison to Deluxe Bar in Moonee Ponds which offers and cheaper and more enjoyable bottomless drinks experience.

Overall, unless you’re coming here for anything but the bottomless drinks events, then it’s not that bad. But the experience with this pre-paid event, does not match the high level of customer service experienced during the booking process.
