I attended this venue on November 30 for a family event. While the location itself has potential, with a semi-outdoor area that could be charming, several issues left a sour impression. Upon arrival, the tiles were dangerously slippery due to the rain, and several people, including myself, witnessed others slipping.

During the speeches inside, the heat and humidity became unbearable. My young son was visibly uncomfortable, so I approached the bar to request a glass of water. Shockingly, the staff member denied this simple request. It was only later that I discovered there was self-service water available at the end of the bar, something she could have easily mentioned. This lack of basic courtesy was deeply disappointing.

The poor ventilation compounded the situation, creating an environment unfit for guests. I noticed the grazing table with perishable items like cheeses and wondered how safe it was in such conditions. The lack of air conditioning (or its inefficacy) soon became apparent when a young lady fainted fainted and had to be escorted out. Moments later, an elderly man also collapsed. The ambulance came soon after.

The combination of heat, humidity, alcohol, and poor ventilation was a recipe for disaster. It’s clear the management team failed to consider guest safety, both in terms of the venue’s design and their response to these conditions.

The negligence displayed by the management and the lack of empathy from the staff members are unacceptable. I hope they take these incidents as a wake-up call to improve their safety measures and staff training. P.S. Security guard was...

My partner and I were looking for a place to host our registration of marriage - one that could host about 80-100 people comfortably a la cocktail style on a public holiday. It was tricky, but by chance, we came across Lola by searching for venues online. On a whim, we went to check it out spontaneously on a Saturday afternoon. From the moment we saw it, we knew it was perfect for our event - it was beautifully styled, accessible (perfect for grandparents who needed wheelchairs), and we got a great feeling from the Lola team who were extremely warm and hospitable - shoutout to Courtney and Mary for being so accommodating and supportive!

Over the course of a few months, we planned our wedding party with Lola via email. The team was very responsive and helpful with our questions, and when it came to working with our caterers and vendors. In the lead up to the event, the Lola team also allowed us - and one of our vendors - to check out the space so that we could work out furniture/food placements ahead of time. On the day itself, Lola's coordinator Sarah was an absolute legend and delight to work with - she managed our food, logistics and comms with our vendors about pickups, all while maintaining a beautiful and calming presence throughout the day!

In short, we had a fab experience with Lola for our wedding. The venue is top notch and the team you coordinate with are excellent and professional. What more could you ask for? 100%...

Wow what can I say.... the service at LOLA was nothing but perfection. From the beginning the level of communication and professionalism was unbeatable. The process to book was smooth and the admin staff were so prompt with their emails. With that being said I already entered my event with such high expectations but somehow they managed to exceed those expectations further on the day. The staff were like nothing I had experienced before. They were organised and before I could even ask for something they were already in the process of doing it. The level of engagement and their amazing communication skills on the day was noticed by not only myself but I was flooded with compliments on the service by the guests on the day and still till this day months later. Jessabelle in particular... WOW what a great asset she is to the team and I only have the best things to say about her as a person and employee. I could sit here and write for ages about the incredible service I received but it is clear that this wasnt just a one time thing because every review i read further confirms just how great LOLA is.
