Sushi Yuzen — Restaurant in Melbourne

I work at the center so I come here for a lot of my lunch and dinner breaks (having spent hundreds on sushi and don at Sushi Yuzen). Up until now I've had no issues, though I came in the other day and bought katsu chicken which I often eat at other restaurants. It gave me such bad food poisoning, I had to leave work and ended up being nauseas with intermittent trips to the bathroom for over 6 hrs. My stomach hurt so much I couldn't even roll onto my side. I told a staff member the other day who was very apologetic but didn't seem like a manager, so I told someone who seemed like a manager today when coming in to get my dinner. She showed absolutely no empathy and told me the food poisoning was my own fault and couldn't have been the katsu, must've been something else I ate. When I told her that's all I had eaten before I got sick, she essentially insinuated it was my own hygiene that was the problem as if I don't know how to wash my hands. I know the centre has a lot of bacteria so I'm always washing my hands and using hand sanitizer, especially before I eat. Really disappointed with the terrible and rude customer service, especially since I've been such a loyal customer. Would much rather go to Hana Sushi (also in the centre) to get my sushi even though the options are more limited. The owner is very sweet, he remembers me and always gives me an employee discount and if I dine in, he brings me green tea. Will definitely be giving them my money from now on. Sushi Yuzen...

On Thursday I had Very very bad service !!! Don’t recommend this place . During this unprecedented time with covid 19 the staff member used her hands without any gloves to serve food then she knocks it over puts it back in the cup . Goes to the back then and starts eating it .I’m waiting to be served and being totally ignored comes back and serves another customer. Very disgusting and bad service. Wouldn’t go there . The only person very nice there is the lady in the red Kimono . Nice set up but a total illusion of health practices in food...

Sushi Yuzen is a great little Japanese Sushi Restaurant, the Sushi is delicious and made with care and accuracy, but for me the highlight is the Japanese Fried Chicken! There is two different flavours, Soy Fried Chicken and Chilli Fried Chicken, the Chilli Chicken is not overly spicy at all, so if your concerned about spice? Don't let it stop you from trying it, the staff are lovely and make everything fresh daily, I Highly Recommend Sushi...
