First time I've been out for lunch in a very long time and gosh I'm glad to have picked Bangkok on Darby. They have a great variety of dishes and the food is amazing. I shared lunch with a friend (we were both ravenous) we ordered Beef Pad Thai, Veg/Tofu Cashew Nut stir fried and Tofu Green Curry with a couple of juices from the fridge between us and we were pushing the full mark with our last few bites. I would definitely recommend you get a bite to eat here, and if you can't make it but are local, they are available on several delivery apps too, it looks like they may even have their own app 😁 open for lunch and dinner every day except Sunday. Enjoy fellow Novocastrians!

We’ve ordered Pad se ew, Fried chicken with rice and Tom yum soup with prawn However the food came after 40 minutes which is too long for us. We tried talk to the cashier and she said “can’t you see the queue is long” but the people who ordered after us have got their food and we found out that they didn’t print the order to kitchen. it’s a bit disappointed and they don’t even apologise for that. Hope that they can improve their service in the future. Pad se ew and Tom yum prawn were delicious!! but not for the chicken rice .. chicken was a bit chewy and hard to eat.

Coming back to Sydney from the Hunter Valley via Newcastle, we went to this highly rated Thai restaurant for dinner. I had high expectations and am happy to say It was excellent. Food was fresh and full of flavour, well balanced without being too spicy. Enjoyed a prawn green curry and stir fried vegetables; both are highly recommended. Dining is very casual, and you can enjoy a beer or glass of wine as it is licensed. Strongly recommend checking this place out if you love Thai food.

Just visiting Newcastle for work and I happened to walk past this restaurant while thinking of what to get for dinner. A young family were eating outside and their food looked so good I stopped and ordered pad see ew take-away for dinner tonight. I’m eating it as I write this review, and it is so yum! It’s one of my favourite dishes that I always get and they are usually delicious no matter where I buy it from. This one however has so much flavour and it has such a great ratio of meat, noodle and veg (I got beef). Will definitely order it again when I come back to Newy. The only thing I would change would be to add a slice of lemon that I could squeeze over it but that would only add to it. Not having it doesn’t take anything away from the food. Much...

This actually surprised me with how good the taste was. Incredible! Dishes tried red curry chicken beautiful thick curry bursting with flavour not too hot where you can taste it but hot enough that it gets the tastebuds tingling. Beef massaman, slow cooked beef, crunchy peanuts, sweet potato this was beyond my expectation. Pad see eew, noodles were not overly cooked and the flavour was exceptional. Cashew nut chilli jam chicken (this is my default) when all else fails this is usually the dish that you can tell a Thai place. This was not some soggy watered down sauce claiming to be jam, this was the real thing, sweet spicy and delicious. Do yourself the favour and judge for yourself. Sorry no pics on this one. Lunch is also $15 a dish with a...

We have been dining here for years as a group, since they opened. Tonight was so bad we will not return. The waitress had difficulty dealing with the menu, however we overcame that with giving her assistance. She needs glasses poor woman and chef our of control..The food was simply terrible. Dim Sum was cold and totally collapsed. We sent it back and received an identical dish 8 minutes later ; think they just recycled! My companion complained, in a very gentile manner to the long term employee who often cooks (not tonight unfortunately) and he was just disinterested. The remainder of our dishes were very ordinary. Masamman curry overcooked and had to hunt for the noodles with Pad See Ew which are cheap....
