Do you have a new crew in your kitchen?? I always love this place even though it accidentally served me oyster with worm on the shell twice or thrice but i always come back because the food always fresh and nice. One of the best places to eat in Darwin. But tonight i was shocked how mushy and slimy the prawns were. I thought it was off but it didn’t smell bad so i guess must be overcooked or was it frozen then serve? My caviar oysters were missing the sour cream and the panko missing the mayo. The atlantic ones have cream on it, but the cream was put on the top at the end of the shell, why tho?! If it meant to be eaten with the oyster just put it on top of the oyster the way it always has. You already served the oysters/ food at it best, please don’t change it. If you want to improve you can start by standardizing the platting and train your staff to always have the same quality when they produce their food or drinks. So customers can have that same quality every time, no matter if you have new...

《Oyster Bar》 Situated along Darwin’s scenic waterfront, Oyster Bar delivers an experience that balances creativity with freshness.

The restaurant is best known for its oysters, offered in an array of inventive flavors that highlight both local ingredients and refined technique.

The chili cheese oysters stand out — a delicate interplay between gentle spice, melted cheese, and the natural sweetness of the shellfish.

Each bite reflects thoughtful flavor harmony rather than excess.

Beyond oysters, the menu offers distinctive small plates such as crocodile popcorn, a playful yet well-executed dish that pairs beautifully with a crisp drink. The freshness of the seafood is unmistakable, showcasing a level of quality that speaks to careful sourcing.

With its relaxed ambiance and choice of indoor or alfresco seating overlooking the water, Oyster Bar combines casual charm with culinary precision — an ideal first stop for anyone wishing to taste Darwin’s coastal...

Beautiful location, very varied menu and a lot more than just oysters, in saying that some of the best oysters I have had both here and internationally. Staff also get a mention, very friendly and helpful. I have one complaint. The use of PLASTIC STRAWS served with every drink is absolutely shameful in this day and age particularly on the waterfront. Please consider the alternatives available Oyster Bar. Have a glass of paper straws on the counter and let people take them if they need them but just popping plastic straws in every drink served is just inexcusable now. I know for a fact we were not the only people commenting on this practice that evening. Many places around Darwin have now made the swap to paper straws. Please lead by example. Despite this blatantly irresponsible practice, highly recommended. P.S I would of given 5 stars if it wasn't for that...

Everything about this place was fabulous! The venue is beautiful and the drink ice stand was cool to look at. The food is AMAZING! We ordered a selection and shared it between us. We had salt & pepper squid, soft shell crab tacos, Chilli cheese oysters and the truffle Parmesan fries. Everything was delicious and so fresh but the fries were the BEST fries I’ve ever had in my life! It makes me sad that we’re here on holiday and won’t be able to get them when we’re back home. This place is a must visit and please do yourself a favour and order the fries! My passion fruit cocktail was also very tasty!

What a location, on the waterfront. You could jump in you are that close. The venue is open and light, and part of a bigger precinct. Within the restaurant, both the inside air-conditioned area and the alfresco area are great places to start enjoying your seafood. Plenty of options. The oysters, natural, were spot on. The fish and chips, did not look huge, however it hit the spot. The mackerel was a hit, good solid serves. Shoestring very good. The ice machine that cools the drinks at the bar is worth, stopping and watching for awhile. #breakfreefromthedesk Mr B
