We stayed last minute after deciding to have a big night out in northbridge. booked online, was parked and in reception less than 20 minutes later. they have their own undercover parking ($10 overnight) which saved the hassle of finding a spot near/on william street. while we were waiting to check in (8pm) we were both offered a free drink at the bar, and after just starting our drink we were informed our room was ready, and that we'd been upgraded and were given a guest courtesy bag of some fruit and bottles of water. only 2 level, so no long waits for lifts, were in and out of rooms ready for dinner and drinks in 10 minutes.
The hotel and rooms were clean, and very quiet considering the location. all staff very accommodating, and for the price theres no other places within the same walk that compare. perfect as a place to get ready, hit the town, have a great sleep and get home safely the next day. and waking up and hitting yum cha for breakfast at a nearbye resraurant in the morning is...
Read moreHorrible, horrible customer service. We booked a table as some of the reviewers mentioned they serve 3-course menus and we were expecting a more fancy vibe from the advertisement. Got there, the vibes were completely off as if it was a very empty food court (understandable because watch what happened next). Menu gave off that cheap food court with international cuisine. Why would I want a special celebration dinner in a mall food court? So what would one do in this situation - order food regardless knowing you would be disappointed or walk out? We opted for the latter. AND THE OWNER HAD THE AUDACITY TO STOP ME AND QUESTIONED ME IN A DEGRADING WAY WHY WE WALKED OUT. She even asked sarcastically if we spoke English. After learning that our mum doesn’t speak English, the lady preceded to speak Chinese to her. WE DONT EVEN SPEAK CHINESE. Was going to come back on another occasion but guess not anymore. Will be telling all my friends and family to steer clear from this...
Read moreWe bought the Groupon deal for gourmet burgers, chips and beer for 2 people. We dined in and brought our 8 month son with us. The service was outstanding! They custom made a child's dish based on what our son likes. They allowed us to trade in a beer for a wine instead, no extra cost and we chose whatever wine we wanted. I also had there happy hour beer with is a choice of 3 different beers ($5 for a lager, pale ale and Japanese beer) pay $6 you can make it a pint. The food was really good, I wouldn't say the best I've had but value and quality, most definitely worth it. The server didn't overwhelm us by being at our side the whole time but was around enough to take care of our needs. We are going back to try the 3 course meal (2 for $39) which they told us we can do without using Groupon. I would recommend trying...
