We went for dinner and ordered four dishes in total. (Spring rolls, prawn dumplings, hot and sour soup and prawn, egg and chives noodle soup).
ALL THE DISHES HAD SOMETHING WRONG.
noodles soup with prawn, egg and chives dumplings had pork dumplings in it, we don’t eat pork so this was very disappointing. Also, after checking that the hot and sour noodles soup was meat-free with the kitchen, when it arrived, it had some sort of minced meat in it so I couldn’t eat it. I asked the waitress to take it away and she asked why so I told her it had meat in it, but she didn’t seem to care.
Prawn dumplings came after 45 minutes of waiting, and when I bit into it, it was icy frozen inside. Spring rolls never arrived so we cancelled it.
We were looking forward to the food as the joint has a lot of positive reviews but unfortunately we had an extremely...
Read moreI'm extremely disappointed with my recent order of lamb and vegetable dumplings (6 pieces each) for my toddler's late dinner. This was our first visit, and I thought they'd be a quick and easy option. My toddler loves dumplings and has been asking for them while watching his favorite show. Unfortunately, the dumplings had a strong, unpleasant smell, the lamb was soggy, and the vegetables didn't taste fresh. Upon cutting into them, it was clear they weren't prepared well. The dumpling wrappers were also hard. We barely finished one bite before losing our appetite. Given the poor quality, I won't be returning. I regret not disposing of the dumplings properly to prevent others from potentially being served them. We were too hungry to take a photo, but the experience was truly unpleasant. For the future, I'd recommend buying sweet potato chips from next...
Read moreWei’s Dumpling Hut serves up quality Chinese cuisine, with special attention to the soup inside their dumplings, the lean meat offered in their fillings and the variety of dishes and homemade soya bean that are a testament to their quality!
The only reason why Wei’s Dumpling Hut is not a 5/5 is because of some minute details like the thickness of the dumpling skin, the waiting time (on the occasions I’ve been early right after opening I’ve had to wait around 30 minutes despite being the only person), the meat could be a bit juicier but I’d understand based on the restaurant being an accessible and trusty neighbourhood dinner place with affordable prices and profit margins to maintain!
Go in expecting excellent neighbourhood restaurant level food. Overall I’d highly recommend if you’re in the area and want quality...
