Had dinner here and ordered the large Spicy Pork Bone Hot Pot for four, with the fried rice and cheese add-on at the end. The hot pot came out piled high with pork bones, plenty of veggies, and a rich red broth that had a nice spicy kick but wasn’t overpowering. The meat was tender and the portion size was generous, definitely good for sharing.

The fried rice with cheese add-on is a fun way to finish the meal, though it wasn’t quite as crispy as I expected. Still tasty, but I was hoping for a bit more of that crunchy texture. Though it was my first time having bokkeumbap so I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt because I don’t have an existing reference point 🙂‍↕️

The restaurant was absolutely buzzing, very busy and lively, but the staff allowed us to wait inside for a table and it was relatively chill. Service was fairly quick despite the crowd, and prices are reasonable for the amount of food you get (we paid around $88 after discount for everything).

Overall, a hearty and satisfying Korean hot pot spot in Strathfield, especially if you’re coming with a group. Just be prepared for the bustle and maybe a wait if you...

Four of us visited Jomaru in Strathfield. We loved the clean interior and the friendly staff, but we weren’t sure what to order. Thankfully, one of the staff members kindly helped us choose – we ended up getting the small pork backbone hot pot, soy sauce marinated braised pork bones, and the cheese grilled pork bones.

Wow – everything was perfect. The broth wasn’t spicy but had a rich, savory flavor, and the meat was incredibly tender. The soy sauce braised pork and cheese grilled bones were so delicious that we found ourselves ditching the chopsticks and eating with our hands – it just felt natural.

Our Australian and Chinese friends gave high praise to the Korean food, which made me really proud. I highly recommend Jomaru and I definitely want to...

Really impressed with this restaurant. The food was seriously so flavour-packed and the whole experience felt really comforting and fun. I highly recommend ordering the spicy pork bone hot pot and adding ramen! The broth was bold and spicy and the noodles soaked up all that flavour beautifully. The pork itself was fall-off-the-bone tender and the portion size was very generous.

Also tried the soy braised pork bone stew which had a slightly sweeter and deeper flavour profile. Loved the addition of rice cakes and noodles, it was super satisfying.

Service was friendly and the space had a cozy, casual vibe. Great spot if you’re craving authentic Korean food that is both hearty and full of flavour. Will definitely be back...

Just had an absolutely amazing Korean meal at JOMARU KOREAN HOT POT! 😍 We ordered Gamjatang (Potato Pork Bone Soup), cheesy corn, bibimbap, and tonkatsu (pork cutlet) — and every single dish was bursting with flavor! The gamjatang was rich and hearty, perfect comfort food. The cheesy corn was melty and addictive, the bibimbap had all the right textures and flavors, and the tonkatsu was crispy outside, juicy inside, and paired so well with the sauce! The service was top-notch — super friendly, very patient, and made us feel so welcome. Bonus points because the waiter was really handsome too 😆. Highly, HIGHLY recommend this place. Will definitely be coming back! 💯🔥
