After eating at Betty’s last week, review below, it had been on my mind all week, so today (Friday 13 Sep ‘24) I made plans to go into the city for a repeat of last week’s experience. I got the same order. I went outside to sit down, and the tables were covered in the leftover rubbish from previous patrons, so my wife and I moved the trash to one table and wiped down the table we had decided to sit at.
When my buzzer went off I collected my order. I was surprised though, because my Betty’s Deluxe was cold. Like, not warm, but stone cold, as though it had been sitting around for 10 to 15 minutes. The chicken burger was hot though, according to my wife. My memory drifted back to when I first entered, and a lady asked for the manager after exclaiming she had waited for 30 minutes for her order. Maybe her order was sitting there going cold? I’m not someone who likes to complain about things. If I’m dissatisfied with a restaurant I simply won’t go back. After this experience I have realised not to expect a consistent experience at Betty’s. My desire to eat here has been cancelled out. It is now just another fast food joint that I’ll eat at only if convenient, but I certainly will never go out of my way for it. My 5 stars became 3.
Last week’s review below: Sometimes after a return visit to an establishment, I feel the need to re-review. This was one of those times.
I was walking by and in the need of something to eat so it was an easy choice to drop in. I haven’t eaten Betty’s for over a year because their outlets are all far away. Also it’s been a while since I had a great burger and I was really hungry.
I got the Betty’s Deluxe, this time with an egg, and a grilled chicken for my wife.
Before I could try my burger, my wife handed hers to me to try first. I bit into it and god damn it tasted so good! I wanted to finish it off, but begrudgingly returned it to her.
Next up I started on my burger. Wow, it was so delicious! I can say for sure this is the best burger I’ve had in a long time, maybe forever? No that’s a bit much, I’ve had some really good ones in my lifetime. But this was definitely right up there with the great ones. Highly recommend the egg as an addition.
Previous review: I've wanted to try Betty's Burgers for years, after reading various promotional articles on "news" websites, but simply never had the opportunity, and I didn't want to go out of my way. Finally, yesterday I was nearby and decided to drop in and give them a go.
I ordered a Betty's Deluxe and a Spicy Chicken for myself and my Wife, along with a side of French Fries. And they were just great, very delicious, probably the best burgers I've had in a long time. If I had a Betty's Burgers outlet nearby I'd go there often. Writing this short review is...
Read moreDear Betty's Burger Team,
I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for the exceptional experience I had at your establishment recently. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality that made me feel welcome and appreciated.
The food at Betty's Burger surpassed all my expectations. Each bite was a burst of flavor, and it was evident that careful attention was given to every detail in preparing the meals. The quality of ingredients and the passion for cooking truly shone through in every dish.
However, what truly made my experience memorable was the kindness and generosity of your staff, especially Cherie. Cherie went above and beyond to assist me and another individual in need, demonstrating compassion and empathy that left a lasting impression on me. Her exceptional service exemplifies the values of Betty's Burger and sets a high standard for customer care.
I am immensely grateful for the wonderful dining experience and the kindness extended to me during my visit. Thank you to the entire Betty's Burger team for your dedication to excellence and for creating a welcoming environment where customers feel valued and appreciated.

Too long a wait for a takeout cheeseburger.
Shame on them first time (40 minutes), Shame on us second time (30 minutes), third times a charm, no queue, perfect. Ummmm... no. What were we thinking, another 15-20 minutes for two burgers, no sides or drinks.
Completely disorganised to survive in a CBD location, as they cannot cope with the lunchtime rush. They need more people in the kitchen, it’s letting them down as the food (when you eventually get it) is delicious.
We were planning on pre-ordering, but it was spur of the moment choice. However, we did noticed even pre-orders were waiting for their food.
I won’t be going back, I just cannot justify a 20 minute wait for a $15 burger with no sides at lunchtime, which I will need to get a snack for this afternoon as the burger is small.
UPDATE @ Feb 18, 2020:
I would like to thank Richard of Betty’s Burgers for the phone call. We had a wonderful discussion about my above review. Richard was very open to my feedback, based on my experience with the follow up contact I will be trying Betty’s again. It’s rare to have the management team not take offense to a review, the management team is professional and accepts that improvements based on feedback will make them better and that my review had no...
