Surprised with how many good reviews this place has. The food is expensive and the taste is hit and miss depending on the dish you order, however the service is terrible.
One of the owners is very rude and would push us to leave ASAP when we barely had 1.5 hours of dining, despite us ordering a lot of food and drinks.
Maybe they should position themselves as fast food and reduce their prices accordingly. Probably not a lot of experience in hospitality with this attitude if they are willing to make sure existing customers will never come back just to get the next customers in as soon as possible.
Not only that, but they also rip you off: we realised we were charged full alcohol prices for non-alcoholic versions of cocktails. $24-25 per mocktail is ridiculous.
EDIT after the owner’s response:
Mate, you need to learn some manners, and not just when you are replying to reviews, but when you are actually facing customers.
First of all, our booking was for 6:15pm, I checked my watch when we were out in the street, it was 7:42pm - and you started hassling us about leaving long before that, so we DID NOT have 1.5 hours of dining.
Second, everyone in our group agrees you were just rude and aggressive out of nowhere. If you NICELY told us you need the table for next customers, we would not be having this conversation.
I think greediness hit your head when you saw the line in front of your average joint, and you targeted our big group as the easiest way to get a few tables freed up as soon as possible.
Be better and learn to respect your customers if you want to stay in this business.
Look at your other negative reviews and you will see the pattern: people do not like your behaviour. Sooner or later you will run out of customers who haven’t heard of...
Read moreVisited for lunch on a 30% discount from The Fork. Arrived 10 mins early, and our table was available. Welcomed on arrival by a lovely female staff member seated at a middle of venue table, handed menus, and asked us if we preferred sparkling or still water. We were advised that our order would be taken shortly as they were getting a larger table settled in as she serves our sparkling water. Great communication. After about 10 mins passed and the owner approached us asking if we were ready to order. There are so many different choices on the menu, and looking at dishes being served to other tables, huge portions. We selected a couple of share plates and a main each. First share plate out within 10 mins, and the second followed about 15 mins later with more sparkling water. They did not hurry us. About another 15 mins, tour mains arrived, visually appealing, the aromas made us drool, and the owner explained how they make the in-house BBQ sauce serves with my Texas brisket bowl. We really took our time to eat our mains. We were not hurried along. Seriously, the last few mouthwatering bites were hard as we definitely had been served a generous amount of food. Had a lovely chat with the German waitress. She was very friendly, and it was a trial day for her. I really hope she gets the job as her customer service skills are outstanding. When departing and paying the bill, the owner had a nice chat he really cares about his customers and has a real passion for the food they serve. He definitely loves his job. Can not wait to return to try something else from the menu. It's definitely worth paying the menu prices if you're not able to get a discounted meal. The whole experience...

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the most welcoming and accommodating staff. They made us feel instantly comfortable — friendly smiles, easy conversation, and that perfect balance of professionalism and warmth. You could just tell they genuinely cared about their guests having a great experience.
Not long after we were seated, we found ourselves umming and ahhing over the Mediterranean and South American wines (too many tempting choices 😅). Our waiter noticed and jumped in with, “You know what, let’s give you a taste test.” That thoughtful gesture honestly set the tone for the rest of the evening. His wine knowledge was incredible — and while we were waiting, he even came back with another blend for us to try (it was gorgeous, but we stuck with the original — it was perfect!).
The staff were lighthearted, fun, and genuinely lovely throughout the night — always attentive, but never overbearing.
We ordered the cowboy rib eye, crispy pork share plate, and the wagyu double cheeseburger. Every dish was phenomenal. The steak was to die for, the pork was melt-in-your-mouth perfection with rich, gorgeous flavours, and my partner (who’s a chef!) said it was the best burger he’s ever had. 🍔🔥
For Sydney City, the prices are incredible for the quality you get. Even though it was busy, the service stayed smooth and personal — they really nailed it.
This spot has absolutely secured a place on our Sydney must-do list. 🌆 Delicious food, stunning wines, and some of the best service we’ve ever experienced. 20/10 recommend — do yourself a...
