Celsius Cafe has consistently been nothing but a delightful experience. I’ve been here many times now, and I am always amazing at how the chefs can cook such delicious, fresh, beautifully-presented food in such a small kitchen.
Situated on (yes, on) Kirribilli Wharf, this cafe boasts an impressive menu with fresh, healthy ingredients and wonderful coffee. Whether you need a coffee before getting on the ferry, a bit of takeaway like a croissant or avocado on toast, or have a bit of time and want a more hefty meal while literally looking down & out at the ocean waves. It’s a really unique dining location. Most often we are served by a female staff member who is very friendly and prompt in taking orders, and bringing out water, napkins and menus. From the outside the seating appears cramped, but once you’re inside you will surprisingly have enough space.
Usually at places that present such wonderful food, you typically can find the coffee can be lacking. But this isn’t the case at Celsius! With a skilled barista clearly behind the counter, and skilled chefs, I’d recommend having a coffee & The Benedict - braised lamb, Japanese Yuzu hollandaise, raw almond dukkah, and poached eggs on sour dough. Yum.
Only downside is it’s fairly pricey, but nothing uncommon for areas like Kirribilli & for somewhere with such a...
Read moreToday at 8.20am I first came to this cafe because I had wanted to come here several times but couldn't and finished around 9.30 am. I'm so excited because it's on my wishlist to have breakfast at this cafe and one of my friend is birthday today. I arrived and was greeted by a barista guy who was quite friendly, he was very worthy of being retained and given additional salary. but while waiting for food, the 2 female waiters were impolite and very rude. It started when I came and my friend sat down, she couldn't wait for us to order, when my coffee was still half they wanted to take my coffee, when I wanted to pay because we were still waiting for a friend who was still in the toilet she told me to quickly pay the bill. I don't really understand what the concept of this cafe is like. but I'm really uncomfortable. If we are have a limited time, please let us know for the time that we have or everyone will want to get here early when customers arrive. because it was my first time and a very bad experience. I'm so sorry, this cafe is very beautiful, they have good coffee and the food nice as well but it's a shame the service is very very bad. No human from anywhere deserves this treatment. Manager and owner please work better. Although I...
Read moreI visited this cafe on my birthday and it turned out to be the worst birthday morning I’ve ever had. The burger I ordered was undercooked, which I brought to the attention of the waitress. She seemed helpful and took it back without issue.
However, when it came to paying my bill, I told the man in the counter (long hair and wore glasses and was answering rudely to people who were enquiring about the wait time) that I returned the burger and informed the waitress about the issue with it, he insisted I need to pay for it. When, I asked him to check with the waitress, he yelled at me saying he doesn't have time, humiliated me in front of everyone, and told me to "GET LOST".
Is it normal to pay for food that we return in Australia?
Moreover, I found the food is overpriced for the quality they serve, and we had to wait over an hour to get the table. This experience completely ruined my birthday, and I wouldn’t recommend this cafe to anyone. The customer service of the guy who was there for customer service was shockingly bad, and was downright disrespectful, and the food doesn’t meet...
