Chatime Burwood Westfield — Restaurant in Sydney

I am so sorry but I just got served the worst drink in my life it was so moving it made me leave this review.

Let me paint a picture; Routinely at other chatimes the frozen matcha is amazing and so consistent every time. I was excited for my drink this time and ordered a large because of my previous life changing experiences.

I received my drink, everything looked great. I pierced the lid with my straw, stirred around and took my first sip.

What first hit me was this sizeable chunk of pure ice, “no biggy”, i thought, the emulsion of my drink is not end all be all.

I anticipated the subsequent sip with renewed elation, a redo of my first impression, but what hit me was a wave of, bitter, bland and dull watery matcha.

Now, i understand that some people like their drinks with no sugar, but certainly not me (receipt attached below). Regardless, even to my mum’s sad-sugarless-standards, she mistook it for water; generationally dismayed.

As i write this review i twirl around my straw, yearning for the sweet (haha see what i did there) relief from the bitter and lifeless blandness of my drink cluttered with chunks of pure ice. Horrible experience! This was the condition of my drink after half and hour of buying it and I was drinking that and it turned out like this. This happened with me before as well and I told the guy on the counter as well and he showed me some similar photos on his phone,by saying that this has happened before as well with them and it’s because they are not mixing the drinks properly ( said by the same guy on the counter) but I was not there to see the similar photos!!! I been there yesterday but one of the Asian girls who were working there and serving us at the time were being rude because I was telling her about my order of drinks and my friend's drink but she kept interrupting me and I was unhappy that she wasn't listening and her tone of voice sounded rude too which sounded like she wasn't being patience enough.
