In summary, I won't reccomend this crust Pizza, it's better to go to another chain, or support other smaller business around. The quality and service has been dropping for a long time and my recent experience below is bad. The pity is I like crust pizza but this store is inconsistent and the standards are dropping.
I had a less-than-ideal pick-up experience at crust pizza Surry Hills . I order the pizza and it was cold . I order the pizza for pick up at 8.30 and it was cold when I received it at 9.00. and I mean Cold and dry like left overnight pizza. Honestly, I wish I had got the pizza at another major chain because I know it’s at least warm when you get it. The use a warmer bag and keep you pizza warm. You can see in the video.
I usually use this store as it’s my local but now on will be using other stores nearby. I like crust but the quality here has been dropping dramatically at this Crust. I also don’t think Crust head office is doing enough to do quality control, and a thorough review of this stores. The Franchise owners do whatever. . The pizza I suspect was not put under a heater to keep warm as the heater may be to save costs. OR the pizza was genuinely reheated as ther was only one person working behind the counter. I don’t know. But the pizza should not be that cold when you pick it up from the store. This crust cuts corners on portions of meat and toppings etc too.
To make matters worse, there was no one visible at the front of the store when I got there. Eventually the guy came out with white headphones on. He didn’t say hi . I had to yell my name to him . He didn’t even bother to remove his headphones. I was going to complain to him but decided to not . He was very friendly and busy on a personal phone call.
I did raise this with the crust customer service which is outsourced. And they kept asking me repetitive questions like what was the order (when there was only one order from this store on my account). They also kept asking me if it as part of a voucher when they can see this information. It seemed liked they were less interested in fixing issues but more into taking longer to resolve the issue. It's isn't even about the money but the calories and the principal.
I did use a voucher and I thanked them but this is just the quality.
Voucher or not. This was meant to be for a special occasion treat for my self and it has been a disaster. I want the area manager to investigate and lift the standards at this crust so I can start ordering and getting the same quality as I used to get not...

In the past few months the quality dropped severely. The dough is breaking, dry and tastes like cardboard. The ingredients no longer cover the whole pizza and there is a lot of that dry cardboard dough not fitted for human consumption. Yesterday I paid for the extra cheese on the chicken pizza, but there was almost no cheese at all. Extra prosciutto on the other pizza was also sparse. Quantity of the remaining ingredients on all pizzas are down too.
Haha, I remember times when I was asking why they did not put fresh chilli on the peri-peri pizza as per the photo on their app. That was the only comment back then... Good, old times.
Now, even delivery times are never as they promise. Pizza always arrives late and cold. It takes 50-60 mins instead of commited 30 mins. They no longer apologise for being late.
You can't easily provide feedback on their app. It seems they do not care about customer comments. The franchise is not interested in how the individual store messes up their orders. Crust brand will depreciate their goodwill soon.
I have been ordering pizza from Surry Hills Crust for almost a decade. I really hoped that the recent quality drop was a one-off thing. Someone forgot to put an ingredient here or there maybe. I have waited if they improve and still ordered my pizza less frequently. After yesterday's order, I am now confident that their decision to save costs and is consistent and permanent. It was my very last pizza delivery from Crust. Good bye.
Now, Domino's pizza seems to be a way...

First off, the atmosphere was fantastic. It's a cozy and welcoming spot with a modern yet relaxed vibe. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit.
Now, onto the star of the show - the pizza. Crust Pizza exceeded all my expectations. Their menu offers a wide variety of creative and delicious options, from classic Margherita to unique gourmet creations. I opted for the "Tuscan Delight," and it was an absolute flavor explosion. The crust was perfectly crispy, and the toppings were fresh and generously portioned. It's clear that they use high-quality ingredients to craft their pies.
What truly sets Crust Pizza apart is their attention to detail. Each pizza is crafted with care, and you can taste it in every bite. They also offer options for those with dietary preferences or restrictions, which is a big plus.
