While the food is fresh, well-seasoned ans tasty, the service needs a big overhaul: ignoring customers and tables especially when the restaurant is half-full is disappointing as is rushing customers to leave half-way through their main meals by saying “pay now; we close 15 mins” then proceeding to turn off the lights shortly thereafter and blame-shifting when addressed privately about the service - people come out to pay for food for an experience otherwise they would stay at home. Hospitality is about creating beautiful, memorable and positive experiences for customers so train the staff better in saying more gentle things like: “thanks for dining with us, we hope you’ve enjoyed your meal, just to let you know we will be closing soon and would appreciate if you be able to settle the bill now as we are finalising the float and register. Would that be ok? AND then if you close early instead of bluntly rushing customers you could say “I’m sorry but we will be closing soon and since you missed out on ordering dessert due to our late service, we will give you a dessert credit for next time, as a way to show our thanks for your understanding. With that, would it be ok if I start clearing your table?” Word are important as is creating a lovely, positive and warm experience for customers. If you cannot provide that experience then re-train or change the staff to be sensitive and aware of the needs of a customer. Every customer matters. I will keep visiting as I would like to see this place do better, and...
Read moreHave been coming here and also ordering takeaway for years and the quality has been great until recently. My last order contained a chicken burger and the beef cheek amongst other things.
The beef cheek, usually something that falls apart when you as much as look at it, was as tough as leather and we struggled to cut it even with a steak knife. Really bad quality meat and poorly cooked.
Could hardly even bite into the chicken and spat it out when I did - it was completely raw inside. Not just a bit pink, but completely and utterly raw with only the outer 1-2mm cooked.
Will never order from here again. Whoever has taken over has no idea what...
Read moreForth fish from Lane Cove have moved in the where Love Fish used to be. It makes complete sense as the fryers are there and their aim is to bring the same quality for less money. They've achieved both but only by reducing the portion size to that of a kids menu. Love Fish was never that good quality anyway (try Vaucluse Ocean Seafood for fresh chips) but it's seriously annoying when you pay $17 for frozen chips but even worse when you literally get about 5 frozen chips. I guarantee these guys will go the same way as Love Fish did. Oh I wish someone would make an effort in this area! I'm tempted to open my own restaurant because...
