The Signature Thai Cuisine — Restaurant in Sydney

We were made to wait an extended period for our entrees. Instead of having all three of them come out at the same time, they had about 10-15 minutes delay between them Then for our mains we had to wait another extended period. I asked if they were all going to come out at the same time, and was assured that they would. However, when they did arrive the rice dish, the base used for all the other dishes was absent until the very end. So we picked at the other mains, waiting for the rice, rather than properly getting to share things as we normally would. For the entire time of our meal, we watched take-away order after take-away order going out the door, complete and without any delays. The food was very good, but the delays had a massive impact on our meal, and the staff knew that we weren't happy.

After my friend paid in full, I spoke to the floor manager expressing how their ridiculously long delays had impacted our meal. In response she said that we should have said something before paying so they could provide a discount. Why should we have to say something when you are fully aware of the negative impact you have caused on our meal? I ordered chilli and Thai basil chicken on Easter Sunday from my usual Thai restaurant. They charged a 20% surcharge. Got it home and there was no chilli. No chilli. I rang them. Honestly, this Thai restaurant was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. The food was disgusting: pad thai tasted like soggy noodles in some sugar water, and curry was watery, with zero flavor. Everything came out cold, like it had been prepared hours in advance.
