Gourmet Cafe On Macquarie Liverpool — Restaurant in Sydney

A comprehensive range of food on offer here, focaccias, burgers, fried breakfasts, salads, yoghurt, gourmet sandwiches, juices. The staff here are very friendly, they exude the sort of cheerfulness you only get from people who truly enjoy their job. I ordered a small flat-white coffee, a vegetarian focaccia, and a chocolate-iced doughnut. $17.40, dine in.

I took a seat in the clean inside dining area, there is additional seating outside, undercover. I didn't have long to wait for my meal. The coffee was nice and hot, much appreciated on this cold winter's morning. It tasted very nice. The focaccia was delicious, fresh ingredients, all of the flavours were in harmony, the bread had been well pressed and toasted, with just the right amount of crunchiness. The doughnut was fresh, and tasted great....

Cold mornings and Warm smiles

We had breakfast here on a cool pre-dawn trip to the Southern Highlands. Despite the early morning, we were greeted by friendly staff with cheery smiles who supplied hot coffees and a gourmet breakfast in no time.

Although we only enjoyed breakfast, the menu appears comprehensive, covering breakfast, brunch and burgers, sandwiches, cakes and coffee. For lunch, there is a range of cooked meals including roasts, grilled fish and Portuguese chicken, plus hot chips and wedges.

But if you only visit for the food, you'll miss out. This is one of those places where you'll find genuine people who put love into what they do. Smile. I know...
