I just want to start by saying that I have always been appreciative of your service and I have loved your food since you guys opened. I have been to the Canley Vale store a few times and was in love with your garlic Kajun sauce. So, I was very excited to order from Parramatta, when the store opened, as it was more convenient for me. However, the service I had last week confirms that things have changed and that I will not be returning to this branch.
I placed an online order for food (worth over $250) and was told that the food would be ready at 6:42 from an order I placed at 6:24. I, unfortunately, arrived at the store at 6:52 as I was unable to find parking at the time, to find a server approach me and be clueless about my order existence. She then enquired with a senior service member who found my order (unstarted) and approached me saying it was going to be a 15–20-minute service. I was extremely appalled as there was no indication that the order was going to be delayed or take longer than the time given on the system. She mentioned that they were busy and weren't able to start my order due to issues with the system and not being able to alert them of new online orders. I should note that at this point, there were only 6 out of 11 tables busy with ½ the people who had already had food on their table. I proceeded to wait till 7:25 pm when my food was then handed to me and the lady apologized for the inconvenience and added 6 peeled prawns to my order.
I just want to express that this lady did her best to rectify the situation but the lack of communication between the team and the online system ruined my experience. If I had been contacted earlier for the delay or made to wait a minimum of 5 mins for a pre-ordered meal, I would have been happy but it was ridiculous that I had to wait 20 mins because the order had not even been started. I was officially ready to put through a refund that night, but I decided that I'd keep the peace for these ladies'...
Read moreI have been to kickin'inn in Canley Vale and the food, Service, and atmosphere was amazing, so I thought for my 50th Birthday I'd take my family to Parramatta since it's a Monday night and closer to home. Regretfully we were very disappointed in everything from the moment we walked in to the time we left. The food was like it was out of frozen packaging, and they had no clawfish their signature dish very disappointing, the so called mud crab was the size of a 50 cent piece with no meat as every other restaurant I've been to and ordered mud crab it's the size of a dinner plate, the lobster was so small it looked like a scampi, and the boneless chicken looked like over sized nuggets also from frozen packaging, nothing was fresh all frozen food and also gave us watered down coke from the tap. Guaranteed not using soda water just plain water as it was very flat no fizz at all, yuk especially for the price we paid $179 could of gone to a proper restaurant, I would not feed this to an animal. I actually went a cross the road and brought 3 cans of soft drink. The service was very dry and it took 15 minutes for the waitress to come and ask us if we wanted drinks or food, considering there were only 4 tables with guests, did not feel welcomed at all, very disappointed as I said Canley Vale was awesome but Parramatta was ZERO I would not ever come back even if they offered me a free meal, guys pick up your game when you are over priced for the quality of food and very bad service wen people are paying over 170 for 3 people use fresh produce. The upside was they took off the mud crab as it wasn't even mud crab but still tried to charge me for a jug of drink we didn't touch as i return immediately, come on guys wake up stop ripping people off cause they're to scared to speak up i love my food and have gone to places and paid over $500 for meals so I don't mind paying for good for. This food was as good as a local take away shop just way over priced...
Read moreI’m suprised this place is rated so highly. We were excited to take our daughter for her birthday after going to a different one a few years ago. Straight from the start they were out of things we tried to order and when we asked the waitress what else was out she said just tell me what you want and I’ll tell you if we have it - helpful.
After another failed attempt at ordering we found 2 bags we could have. One arrived, the sauce was tasty and so was the corn but the prawns tasted as they had been frozen. We waited for our second bag to arrive and couldn’t get the attention of any staff. Finally approached the counter and staff said they would check. Went back to the table and waited. Got no update but the second bag arrived about 10 mins later without any apology. Also the there seemed to be too many tables in the middle and people had to keep pushing and bumping us.
Customer service was poor, if staff had checked on us we may have gotten more chips or drinks. When we paid we mentioned the poor communication and the waitress just made excuses and the manager avoided eye contact.
Disappointing as when we went to another kickin inn a few years ago the food was tasty, the staff explained the experience and the restaurant had a...
