Low And Lofty's Cocktail Bar & BBQ Restaurant Cronulla — Restaurant in Sydney

We came here for a birthday event for a friend. I ordered myself a cocktail and my partner a no sugar coke due to the fact that he is a type one diabetic. I was handed my drinks and went on with my night and when I went back to order a second round of the same drinks I informed by the same bar staff ( Tall, brown hair and beard) that they did not infact serve no sugar soft drinks. I understand this as every bar cannot carry every type of drink but the fact that I was not told that the drink he served me wasn't what I ordered could have caused my partner to go into a diabetic coma. I tried to ask the bar tender why he didn't tell me before when I had ordered and I was completely dismissed. This is absolutely not good enough. If it was someone asking for food with no peanuts it would have been taken seriously. I'm beyond disappointed at the service I was given and even more upset that my partner had leave early as the full sugar drink made him too ill to stay out. Now after reading all the passive agressive and snarky responses everyone has received from their reviews I asked that you take this seriously. The jalapeño margarita is sub standard - pricing $21 for a margarita with little flavour as watered down with so much ice it was ridiculous. I was here earlier in the year and had the same cocktail with the same experience, I thought it was a bad luck order and moved on, gave it another go recently and was really looking forward to a nice cocktail and ended up unfortunately with the same sub standard margarita. The man at the bar when we walked in, was quite dismissive of us too, gruffly telling us to sit down it was table service - no greeting nothing ! The lady that served us the drinks and fixed our bill was friendly enough. I felt sorry for her having to work for such an awful bar manager! I would not recommend this place if you are looking to have a couple of cocktails unless you are desperate! Just buy beer but the not the Lofty Lager - it’s not good- if you do go, what you will probably get is overpriced watered down cocktails aimed at the already intoxicated people looking to kick on and, because you can’t get in anywhere else in Cronulla. Great decor and amazing set up however the bbq pork ribs were not up to scratch to be called that. I was very eager to try the bbq ribs with the "flavours and spices of the Caribbean". Tasted like soot with bbq sauce drizzled on top which I had coming they set the plate down and it smelt of burnt smoke. The sweet potato chips had to steal the show me which is never a good thing when I'm paying $34 for a good rib. I may as well have just had the side dish of sweet potato chips. However, my friends did say the tacos were nice and it was good budget with a good range of options so I would recommend trying those. Although the food is not the only thing to taste, the cocktails were pretty standard with a nice range with an average price of $19 which you could really get at any bar. However, with friendly staff and lovely decor it made the experience much better.
