I was shopping at Westfield Parramatta. Half way into my shopping my feet was sore from all the walking so i decided to find a coffee place to have a little rest. Like everyone, i enjoy my coffee. Went and brought a coffee at "Nadia's Cafe". For the convenience, i requested take away knowing i can still enjoy my coffee when i resume my shopping. After several minutes, i collected my coffee and proceed to sit down at a table to enjoy my coffee, while taking a little break and giving my feet a little rest from all the walking. 2-3mins after i sat down, 1 of the staff approached me and ask me to leave! She tells me i cannot sit at the table because i ask for take away coffee, the table is for dine in customers ONLY. There where several people sitting around my table when she tried to kick me out. I felt so embarrass. I protested saying that i was a customer and the coffee was brought from them. She refuse to listen saying she was instructed by management to ask me to leave. I requested to speak to the manager. To my surprise, the manager was very blunt and insist i must leave. This was her exact words " you need to take your coffee and leave!!, if you still want to sit at a table you need to pay extra for the service!. If you dont leave i will call security."
OMG people were watching me like i did something wrong!! I refuse to leave because i did nothing wrong. She called security. Security came several minutes later but did nothing after i told them what had happen.
I have had many take away coffee at various cafe but never experience something like this before. What make it worse was the fact that they weren't that busy and there were so many tables vacant. I believe there should be a sign at the counter advising customer that take away is strictly for take away only. There was no sign, nor did the staff advise customer that there will be extra charge to dine im. This was the young manager...
Read moreWhat you get for $21. Youre better off going to a 5 star restaurant in Paddington and paying an extra $10 for a consistent quality meal. At least it would be satisfying. Not much thought put into this dish. I cant comment for the rest of the menu. But this was the largest option in terms of quantity of food for breakfast. Presentation was a shocker. I got a tub of pesto, I'm still not sure what for, Avocado AND butter, which I dont mind the choice but it was a western star tub, at least scoop it into a more presentable side plate not just slap the little tub on top of all the food. Who knows how many hands its touched.
The avocado, way too much for what would be considered half a piece of toast. Got a bunch of thick blocks of fetta. Still confused as to what they were for but they went okay with the scrambled egg. All of that and it was served with ham. What a bummer. 2 rashes of bacon would have served it justice.
When chefs create dishes, they actually create an infusion of flavours combined to make an enjoyable dish. The only thing infused was the salt and pepper I HAD to put on top to make the dry eggs enjoyable.
Their idea of a "Big Breakfast" is 'hey look we're really lazy so we'll just throw a few things on a plate and you can figure out how you want to eat it.'
I dont mind making my own decisions but im making them based on what ive already read from the menu.
Lastly and more importantly. Their chairs on their pretend outdoor patio, are as sharp as knives. The bloody things are pointy and after reaching over to grab a thing or two it's actually drawn blood from my fiancée's skin. Thats a cafe nightmare. After speaking to the manager, words werent convincing she would have probably brushed it off. I invited her to inspect this issue and she was absolutely clueless to the point that her apology wasnt very reassuring.
We'll see these guys next time, hopefully theyll get a...
