Now I get it when people want to leave negative reviews...0 out of 10 Unfortunately!SUPER disappointed with the takeaway from here. Not sure what happened here as everyone has been giving great reviews and I've purchased from here before. The lemongrass chicken was so hard and dry and it was just fish sauce with cabbage and carrots as the flavouring. The spicy beef and pork rice noodles wasn't anywhere I was hoping after the disastrous chicken. The beef was hard and difficult to chew and the soup missing the kick in the flavours. I was looking forward to a nice dinner after a day at work and the missus, who isn't fussy AT ALL with the food refused to finish her food for the FIRST time in the time I've known her! Dinner on a rainy day turns into an execrable experience. We were looking forward to a warm night in but instead ended up looking at this mess leaving a bad taste and image on our table. Not only wasting money and the time it took, what a poor way to end the midweek working day. Shame on the chef and thank you for making me post this ridiculous review!!!

My son wanted to go for Vietnamese so he chose Pho Pasteur. What a good choice. Obviously a family owned business with the wife and husband taking orders and serving us. They were very friendly but a bit "abrupt" as the restaurant was quite busy & wanting to take others orders quickly. Atleast attentive to clients needs so that's a plus. The restaurant was quite like all Asian restaurants with sauces on each table, plus cutlery/chopsticks, and classic tissue box. Anyways you don't go there for aesthetics we go there for the food. The food was tasty and pho was fantastic! We loved the fresh grilled pork Vietnamese rolls. Standouts were the Salted Fish and Chicken fried Rice, Chilli And Lemongrass Chicken, Dry Beef Rice noodles and Shaken Pepper Beef! Soooo good. The fresh juices were very good even if a bit expensive.

This is usually a delicious staple in the Parramatta area, and I usually order the Pho which is a heaven sent in a large bowl, but this time i deviated and ordered the satay chicken with the special fried rice. Unfortunately we were disappointed with this meal. If we were eating with our eyes we would be satisfied but once we gobbled up the satay chicken it was dry and unfortunately didnt hit the spot. The rice had too much chicken in it and also wasnt what we were expecting. My partner enjoyed the Laksa though and I will always be back for the Pho. My son does love the spaghetti bolognese here which is nice when you have a family member who only eats spaghetti. The Vietnamese ice coffee is awesome as well as the staple coconut juice is the only other drink option. Long story short, go here, order the pho.

I’m writing this to say I won’t be coming back. Every time I visited, the staff were consistently rude — the only reason I returned was because I occasionally craved salty food. But yesterday was the last straw: the service was extremely poor, and the food was so salty I’ve been drinking water non-stop.

What’s worse, when we entered the restaurant, one of the staff simply pointed at the seats and said “sit,” which felt abrupt and rude. Later, when I ordered, the same staff member even spoke to me in a language other than English. I also had to repeat myself four times because they couldn’t understand basic English, which made the whole interaction even more frustrating.

These staff members seem to have been working here for over a year — I’ve been visiting on and off during that time — which makes the whole situation even more ridiculous.

I understand that not everyone speaks perfect English, especially in a multicultural country like Australia, but there’s a big difference between struggling with the language and not even trying to improve it.

The staff seriously need to improve their customer service and learn how to communicate properly with customers.

I used to feel excited before coming here, thinking about the salty food I was craving — but every time, I ended up feeling disappointed because of the poor service.

I’m done with this place — it’s just not worth the stress or how bad it makes me feel, both mentally and physically. I won’t be...

Being Vietnamese I do not rate this restaurant if you are looking for Vietnamese cuisine in Parramatta. Their prices are more expensive than other places in Parramatta. The pho soup flavour is not on point, and other Vietnamese dishes are not well flavoured either. Being a local, I have given these guys a few chances over a period 8yrs thinking they may have improved, but we were disappointed. Today was the last straw. Ordered the traditional Vietnamese combination grilled pork with rice take away. The menu and corresponding image states soup given with dish. But this wasn’t given to me as apparently with take away soup is not given. Considering the quantity given for take away (visibly less than dine in) and that it was over $15 (expensive for such a dish and given the quantity) this business is pretty stingy. The flavour in the end wasn’t great either. The service was terrible and rude, particularly the female with short hair, cap and piercings. You make an enquiry and she responds in a very rude, blunt manner. In addition, my partner, friend and I had pho dac biet (combination) and we all got terribly sick after. I believe there may be a food hygiene issue here -...
