Nestled in the heart of Newtown, this Pork Roll stands as an oasis for aficionados seeking the perfect pork roll experience. Week after week, I find myself drawn to this establishment, lured by the promise of their signature crackling pork roll priced at $10—a delightful culinary indulgence that never disappoints.

The moment you step inside Newtown Pork Roll, you're enveloped in an aromatic embrace, the tantalizing scent of sizzling meats teasing the taste buds. The modest yet enticing menu revolves around their star attraction—the crackling pork roll—a true masterpiece that keeps patrons returning.

The crackling pork roll at Newtown Pork Roll is an impeccable creation. A symphony of flavors and textures awaits within the golden-brown baguette. Encased within lies tender, succulent pork, perfectly complemented by the satisfying crunch of crispy crackling. Topped with fresh, flavorful ingredients, each bite is a revelation, a harmonious blend of savory goodness.

Aside from the star pork roll, the menu offers a concise selection of sides and beverages, each enhancing the overall experience. The staff's warm hospitality and efficient service elevate the dining experience, making even the busiest hours enjoyable without compromising on quality.

Newtown Pork Roll isn't just a culinary stop; it's an institution dedicated to the art of perfecting the pork roll. Their consistent quality, friendly service, and the unforgettable crackling pork roll, priced at $10, make it an essential pilgrimage for anyone seeking a...

Newtown Pork Roll

I was in the city today and decided to try them out.

The bread was nice and fresh, while maintaining a good crunch and being flaky. I quite enjoyed the white onion, which I’m guessing was pickled. The spring onion was also enjoyable, although I’m used to it not being cut up. Similarly the carrot had a nice zing to it and the size it was cut into was very demure (trying to find other words to describe than just enjoyable) There was also radish and cucumber, however I do wish there was more of it, nonetheless still delicious. The cold cuts were not your average cold cuts (from at least what I have previously had), which came as a delightful surprise. The only issue I had was the pork strips, there was quite a lot of pieces with just the fat/jelly(?). Honestly this could just be a me problem, as I don’t really like having that piece of pork and would just rather the other 2 meats (however i didn’t know how to order that) The pate was absolutely delicious, and the sauces used added to this.

Overall, a splendid roll. It is quite filling. I would get again if in the area and I recommend others to try it out if they are also in the...

When I first went to Newtown Pork Roll, I blindly ordered the same thing the person in front of me did. I was fortunate enough to have stumbled into the opportunity to experience a NPR crackling pork roll, and I have had one at least once a week ever since.

Simply put, this is not only the finest banh mi in sydney. This is the finest sandwich place I’ve ever been, bar none.

Every ingredient is of the finest quality and perfectly balanced in amount. The first bite will change your life, and then the second will somehow be even better. I don’t even usually like pork, but this isn’t pork in a roll. This is Newtown Pork Roll, and it’s in a class of its own.

By my second visit, the staff already recognised me and have always served with a smile. The amount of love put into every bite of their food will put your grandma to shame. I refuse to keep this place some kind of local secret- every employee deserves to be a millionaire with how good this banh mi is. My only hope is that they never ever change.

I beg you, come to Newtown Pork Roll and try it for yourself. you...

I've lived in Newtown for 6 months and I have 1-2 banh mis a week so I have been slowly working through all of the shops in the area and this is the best in my opinion. What makes a good banh mi is the attention to detail. First of all it has to have a decent amount of meat and it can't be dry and they have this covered. The pate has just the right amount of richness, they arent stingy with the house mayo and the pickled salads and coriander are always really fresh. My go to is the crackling pork which is almost buttery and the bbq pork are these giant BBQ'd meatballs the size of a flat grapefruit cut into slices which comes in second. The only downside is the shop is small so one two seater table for eat in and with two women behind the counter they do take a little bit of time to turn things around when it's busy.

One of the best banh mi places i’ve had in sydney! I ordered the crackling pork roll at $10 and despite the steep price, it did not disappoint. The bread was nice and crusty while the filling was really generous. I really loved how they stuffed the veggies in and the strip of crunchy pickled radish was a game changer. The crackling though was really little and only slightly crunchy, so it would have been much better if there was more, but the pork was good. The sauce was really nice as well and complemented everything perfectly. Came at around 12.30 and the lunchtime crowd was real. Had to wait over 15mind but it was fine. There’s only 1 table of 2 and a bench for waiting so you would have to takeaway.
