So I have been going to Sharetea since 2017 and I loved it. It had very nice pearl milk tea and to be honest was the only place I bought boba from. Over my time of buying from there, there had been a few mishaps that had happened before such as too much ice, too sweet, hard pearls, etc. but I chose to ignore them as I had not explored other boba shops.
But then one day after a school holiday, my friend and I decided to buy a bubble tea (which we did quite often). We bought the large pearl milk tea, my friend asked for less ice and I asked for standard ice and sugar. We didnât wait that long for our tea but my friends arrived first. When she opened her tea, she found out that her milk tasted weird. It was quite watery and was unpleasant- though the pearls were fine. When I got mine we found out that my tea was actually hotter than her tea even though she asked for less ice. That is not such a big deal, she was fine with it and so was I. I opened mine and drank some milk, it was good and there was nothing wrong with it.
But then I drank a few pearls- my mouth was filled with a really disgusting taste. I thought that is was the milk but the milk tasted fine. After a few more sips, the disgusting taste once again came into my mouth. It was so distasteful I asked my friend to excuse me and I went to the bin and spat it out.
I would have thrown it out but I had bought a large one and did not want to waste the milk which was fine. So I tried my best to finish just the milk and not suck up any pearls. Once the milk was finished, my friend and I examined the pearled and found a bunch of fuzzy, disgusting looking pearl mixed in with the other ones. This was outrageous, the pearls had fungus or something all over them and they had even âinfectedâ the normal looking pearls to taste horrible. (I have pictures inserted)
I have not gone back to Sharetea since and have been trying other boba. On the same day my friend and I both had problems with our orders. Other shops we have tried have never once gotten our order wrong or added/left out items from our order- let alone add pearls that have fungus on them. I thought about giving them another go but the dread that I might get these pearls again had stopped me. Also that price keeps going up, and other places have much cheaper and more delicious tea.

But since they have allowed franchise business to take their brand to serve with poor trained staff to serve or making a low quality drink in the industry. This fantastic story started to change. I have been served for a pearl milk tea with less ice. What they have made is only 60% of the cup is filled with the milk tea, pearl, ice. After that the staff keeps filling in water to try to let the cup of drink looks completed and full. Since I have acknowledged and points out that problem in front of some other customers, the staff started to feel shame and awkward and started to be angry and serve with a very bad conversation, and then flow me back the money I purchase for that cup of drink, and yell on my face that â This is how we serve! If you are not happy or not satisfied, just take your money back, run away and never come back!!!â I have been very disappointed after that, then I asked her to show her staff identity and I have been rejected because she knew that I will report her in the future. I wrote this experience to share isnât for expressing my hate of the brand, but I am looking forward to see some improvements of Sharetea in training their franchise...
   Read moreWe used to be regular customers in this location but after today, we wont support this place anymore. We used to order many times in different days and it never happended. We have this membership card and we always use it to upgrade regular size to large size. In the picture below it didnt indicate that we can only upgrade 1 drink and we did order many times around 2 3 drinks in one order and the staffs didnt have problems with it. However, today we had this problem for the first time. The girl who took our order told us that this card can only upgrade 1 drink, and we did explain to her how we used this card before without any problems. She did try to ask other staffs and everyone giving the same answer. We didnt want to take this seriously until that lady with short hair and glasses responsed to us with such a bad attitude, dared us to report to head office. She even told us to read the membership card again and yes, we read it now. Please tell us where does it say that we can only upgrade 1 drink? We hope that you guys can train staffs properly, as this attitude cannot help you guys work in this industry for any...
