Two stars for the view from the deck! Absolutely great location. So much potential for this convenient location (next to a bus stop and ferry wharf), but the experience was rather underwhelming. I really hope they'll improve if I come next time!

Coffee was better at the General Store next store (no wonder there's a longer queue there for takeaway!). "Reduced menu" due to COVID which's a bit weird (it's October and I didn't see any supermarkets having serious food shortage from both domestic and imported sources...?) Yet not observing any COVID restrictions, sarcastically -- no QR code or paper check-in, and super cramped for the seating the customers all close to the kitchen (such that it's easier for them to serve the food/drinks I guess?). I was definitely

Located in the scenic neighborhood of Neutral Bay, New South Wales, Thelma and Louise Restaurant strives to offer a memorable dining experience inspired by the beloved film. However, during my recent visit, I was left with mixed feelings as delicious food and pleasant music were overshadowed by unwelcoming staff and an uncomfortable atmosphere.

Upon entering, I did not receive the warm smiles and welcoming atmosphere one would expect. The staff's reluctance to engage and their hesitance to smile detracted from the overall dining experience. The music selection, on the other hand, was enjoyable and well-curated, which provided a pleasing auditory backdrop to the meal.

Unfortunately, the atmosphere took another hit when what appeared to be the owner or manager began to loudly address staff members using profanities. This lack of discretion and professionalism was off-putting and made it difficult for patrons to enjoy their dining experience. Such matters should undoubtedly be handled privately to maintain a comfortable ambiance for guests.

Despite these setbacks, the food served at Thelma and Louise was a redeeming factor. The dishes were fresh, flavorful, and showcased the best of Australian cuisine. Locally-sourced produce and ingredients elevated the flavors and demonstrated the chefs' commitment to quality.

In conclusion, my experience at Thelma and Louise Restaurant in Neutral Bay was marred by unwelcoming staff and an uneasy atmosphere. While the food and music selection were commendable, the overall experience could be significantly improved by addressing service and ambiance issues. With the right adjustments, this dining destination has the potential to become an unforgettable experience that truly captures the spirit of its...

This is my local cafe. It's disappointing though that the two Asian guys on the front desk can't deal with a simple cost/bill question. I thought I was overcharged as I had a high bill for just drinks and no cooked food, so I enquired the next time I went in. He rudely challenged me and, in the end, even ended up saying he thinks I actually didn't even pay what I was supposed to pay after rudely adding up what I said I'd had with my friends. He truely embarrassed me and as I proceeded to walk away, I could hear the two guys talking about my issue together behind the counter with other customers waiting. This place is nice but some of the staff feel bloody entitled which gives me and my friends bad vibes. We won't spend here again or go to Mums and Dads restaurant up the road, I dont feel comfortable sharing this with the owner due to listening to other complaints/ feedback to her in the cafe and not really hearing appropriate answers. I don't feel there's heart in this place. It's just function. There's also always a pigion inside the cafe and the pastries are...

Two stars for the view from the deck! Absolutely great location. So much potential for this convenient location (next to a bus stop and ferry wharf), but the experience was rather underwhelming. I really hope they'll improve if I come next time! - Coffee was better at the General Store next store (no wonder there's a longer queue there for takeaway!). - "Reduced menu" due to COVID which's a bit weird (it's October and I didn't see any supermarkets having serious food shortage from both domestic and imported sources...?) - Yet not observing any COVID restrictions, sarcastically -- no QR code or paper check-in, and super cramped for the seating the customers all close to the kitchen (such that it's easier for them to serve the food/drinks I guess?). I was definitely <1 meter from the tables on both my left and right... No hand sanitiser except one small bottle at the cashier - Food was alright. There's scarcity of cafes in the surrounding and given the nice view from the deck, price was more on the high side, but I can understand that. - Some staff were friendly but some looked stressed... A common observation was that all of them looked like casual, with no coordination or supervision on a public holiday. Charging a PH surcharge (which's fine) and staying open on a PH, at the min you'd expect the same level of service to be maintained right... All the servers had no clue what's going on causing lots of confusion and wait from customers... even tho' the staff to customers (including those waiting for takeaway coffees) was about 1:3 ratio. And you shouldn't expect young folks carrying coffee and food to customers with shaking hands - The bill was incorrect, and after clarifying it's still not correct... but I just paid and didn't bother causing even more confusion and wait.

This place is the best! Been here several times and never had a bad experience. I say this as someone who's travelled to various cafés as I've worked around all of Sydney for the past 6 years. The atmosphere with the beach and everything is fantastic, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Plus there's bathrooms in the café and next to the wharf, which is really handy. I've had a few different things here which are good but I really like the lamb and egg: it tastes really good yet is very healthy and fresh with all the different herbs spices and veges. The BLEAT is also very filling and tasty with nice bread roll, the eggs bene tastes good and has nice soft toast that's easy to cut through and eat (unlike many places that use sourdough). Coffee is also nice, not too bitter if this is your preference. I always look forward to stopping by this place everytime I visit the area for work. I hope they stay around for a long time! Signed, The tradie guy who keeps ordering lamb and egg / flat white :^)

Food: Okay. Disappointing modified menu. Coffee: Okay. Service: They had a lot staff, everyone looked super busy and the whole place felt chaotic with staff members running around. However they were courteous. Price: Not okay. 10% holiday surcharge today plus 1.5% credit card surcharge. We wanted to pay by cash but the price quoted by default when paying was with the credit card surcharge, and if they didn’t quote the credit card surcharge I would have actually had enough cash to pay. They also added extra items on the price that we did not order, when this was pointed out they simply crossed the the item off but was still charged the 10%+1.5% surcharge. The place was way too chaotic to even point this out. COVID safe: while they claimed they are, tables were placed less than a safe distance from each other. I was seated right next to another table of strangers. I would not consider them COVID safe at all.
