I havenāt experienced better service than this for a very long long time.
We arrived with an elderly with a walker for lunch on a Saturday. The ramp was a little difficult for the walker but the elderly made it. There were no one inside at the time (saw a line for take away on the side). So, we were guided to the indoor table next to the bifold doors. He said, Iāll open the door for you, then youāll have a better view and breeze without being exposed in the balcony (it was a windy day).
The elderly was going to order the barramundi. As the waitress was taking the order, we changed our mind to have the platter instead. The waitress explained (to the elderly) what is included in the platter (barramundi is included). As the platter was served, the waitress told the elderly which pieces are barramundi.
Then, we ordered dessert and coffee, the waitress explained to the elderly the different desserts on offer.
There was a delivery arrived when we were there, I think thereās only one way to unload the delivery, which was to go through the stairs in the middle of the restaurant, which was right next to us. They tried to minimise the impact for us (unload it furthest away from us) and they apologised for the noise of unloading. They didnāt make any noise as we focused on the view.
As we paid, I told the waitress how appreciative I was for her delicate attention to the elderly, she said, she tried to help and have conversation with them when she could because they are all special. She has a heart of gold!
The food was good. Ambience is interesting, a little dated but a good reflection of the water community- some great quotes on some tables. The view was unbeatable, we watched a local yacht race when we were...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOwners take note, your system I get it, it is quick and efficient however when you charge that much your service is unacceptable. Your customer service is of something from a horror restaurant fails documentary.
Will we come back, zero chance, why well Iād rather give my money to someone who is appreciative of people. Iād rather throw my money into the ocean downstairs than be treated how they treat there customers
Fish was alright like any, chips were under cooked as if was rushed and nothing had salt at all as if to be cheaply operated. Then to top it off the price was way over priced for what they are actually providing.
But thatās not even what grinds my gears, all that would be what ever not even worthy of my time for leaving a review. Buts whats worth coming here and writing this is the lack of hospitality at this venue, the young lady who takes the order was rude almost like she was just edging to loose her cool. Asking her for cutlery was a risk, I did though she provided it wooden oneās mind you and done so rudely, just slapped some wooden sticks onto one of the meals we had. Everyone had their own meals, 6 in total. Instead of providing cutlery for each, she just splatted a bunch onto one of the meals I couldnāt believe it really. As if Iām the one that works there and is supposed to split the cutlery for them all.
Following this yea the food vs the price was terrible. Was it good fish and chips yea itās alright but your paying restaurant prices and with not only no service what so ever but with rudeness!
Felt very unwelcome so here...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had travelled several leagues to enjoy some fish and chips by the waterfront. I entered the establishment and asked for a blue grenadier (Godās fish) and a serving of chips.
The clerk asked āanything else?ā I was suddenly met with a cold panic, where were the pickled onions? Had a entered a fish and chip shop or a modernised chippery? My eyes darted around the shop, trying to find the pickled onions. I attempted to raise my voice however, the shock of there being a possibility the being a fishānāchip shop without pickled onions had silenced my voice.
The clerk leaned over the counter with a tired yet wholesome smile āyou right there, did you want some sauce?ā Pointing down to the sauce cabinet. A sight of relief, down behind the sauces, the pickled onions! I responded, still recovering from the shock of bearing a potential tragedy āP..pickled onion pleaseā
Batter in the fish was immaculately...
