Went here not long ago to fish with our pet dog. Not even sure if fishing was allowed as there is no indication in the map that there is fishing here although it may be a common thing that most of the people that comes to this place were for fishing and so we did the same.
Parking I think is free on the weekends as again there were no signs and people that go to the park and nearby amenities parked there.
Iconic Pier restaurant at the end of this pier which is closed on a Sunday, so thereโs no parking competition.
So we did fishing with no luck for the whole morning but we enjoyed seated in front of the water on our camping chairs with speaker having breakfast and hot coffee from our packed picnic food.
Later, went to the Sunday market in the carousel area to buy hot foods. Local produce and native products were the main merchandise in the market. Lots of people and pets on a sunny day.
This area is close proximity to parks, shops and restaurants which is walkable. Toilet is a on the foot of the pier which was clean and lots...

I like to stroll down from work and wander around, Summer and even Winter. You can now catch the Portarlington-Melbourne ferry off to the east of the pier on a jetty. Ducks, gulls and pigeons.
